Glass Walls are a base-game option in The Sims 4. In Build Mode, open Build → Wall Patterns, choose the Misc filter, then select a Glass Walls pattern. You do not need the Tea Time Solarium Kit to use this wall pattern.
Where to find Glass Walls
- Open Build Mode.
- Select Build, then Wall Patterns.
- Choose the Misc filter.
- Select one of the Glass Walls patterns and apply it to the walls you want to change.
This is the menu path EA gave in its July 1, 2025 base-game update. EA’s September 22, 2026 patch notes do not mention a change to that path.
Do you need a pack or a Glass Roof?
No. EA introduced Glass Walls as a base-game wall-pattern option, so the separately sold Tea Time Solarium Kit is not required. EA describes Glass Walls as complementing Glass Roofs; that is a design suggestion, not a stated technical requirement. Use a Glass Roof if it suits the build, or use the walls on their own.
The Sims 4 features page describes the Gallery as a place to find inspiration from community creations. Browse it for builds that use glass heavily, then adapt their ideas to your own lot.

When the Tea Time Solarium Kit is relevant
EA’s Royalty & Legacy announcement describes the optional Tea Time Solarium Kit as including expansive glass walls. It is a separate route to a coordinated solarium-themed look, not the way to unlock the base-game Glass Walls pattern. Cross-pack play requires additional DLC purchase; check EA’s store for current availability and price if considering the kit.
