1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesBuy flying vehicles through the Internet on your in-game iFruit phone. Elitas Travel lists conventional aircraft, while Warstock Cache & Carry carries military, weaponized and special vehicles such as the Imponte Deluxo and Pegassi Oppressor Mk II. A Hangar is the central storage and upgrade property for personal aircraft; the Oppressor Mk II is the exception, because it can be stored anywhere but can be customized only in a Terrorbyte Specialized Vehicle Workshop.
What you need before buying an aircraft
GTA Online uses GTA$ for vehicle and property purchases. You do not buy these vehicles from a dealership in the open world. Open the Internet app on the iFruit phone, select the relevant retailer, review the listing, and confirm the purchase with enough GTA$ available.

Aircraft ownership has a property requirement that cars do not. For conventional personal aircraft, plan to own a Hangar before you spend money on a plane or helicopter. The Hangar is where personal aircraft are stored and where Hangar workshop features become available. If you buy a vehicle first and discover that you cannot store or upgrade it as expected, the problem is usually a missing property or the wrong workshop rather than a failed purchase.

Rockstar describes it as storable anywhere, but its customization is restricted to the Specialized Vehicle Workshop inside a Terrorbyte. You can therefore own the bike without a Hangar, but you need the Terrorbyte workshop for its upgrade options.

Basic prerequisites
- GTA$: Keep enough in your in-game funds for the vehicle and any property or workshop requirement that applies to it. Current prices, trade prices and rotating discounts are not fixed in this guide.
- iFruit Internet: This is the in-game storefront used to purchase vehicles and properties.
- Hangar: The normal storage and workshop base for personal planes and helicopters.
- Terrorbyte Specialized Vehicle Workshop: Required to customize an Oppressor Mk II.
- Suitable delivery access: Personal vehicles are normally requested through the game’s vehicle-delivery systems; the Oppressor Mk II has an explicit Interaction Menu delivery option.
Where to buy flying cars, motorcycles and aircraft
Open the phone, choose Internet, and use the vehicle retailers rather than the property or general-shopping pages. The two stores divide the catalogue by vehicle type.
| Vehicle or category | Store | What the store is for | Property or workshop note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Planes and helicopters | Elitas Travel | Aircraft listings, including conventional personal aircraft | Use an owned Hangar for storage and Hangar workshop functions |
| Military and weaponized aircraft | Warstock Cache & Carry | Special, military and weaponized vehicles | Check the individual listing and its storage requirement before confirming |
| Imponte Deluxo | Warstock Cache & Carry | Flying car that can also be driven on the ground | Confirm the normal personal-vehicle storage arrangement shown by the listing |
| Pegassi Oppressor Mk II | Warstock Cache & Carry | Rocket-boosted flying motorcycle | Can be stored anywhere; customization requires the Terrorbyte Specialized Vehicle Workshop |
| Avenger | Warstock Cache & Carry | Large special aircraft | Can be purchased without a Facility and stored in an owned Hangar |
Retailer names and vehicle availability can change with game updates, so read the current listing rather than relying on an old price or an old menu screenshot. The important distinction is stable: Elitas Travel is the aircraft-focused shop, while Warstock is the place to look for military, weaponized and unusual flying vehicles.
Step-by-step: buying your first flying vehicle
- Accumulate or hold GTA$. Rockstar’s starter guidance identifies GTA$ as the currency used for in-game purchases. Do not assume that a vehicle’s purchase price covers a Hangar, a Terrorbyte workshop or later upgrades.
- Open the iFruit phone. Bring up the in-game phone, select Internet, and enter the vehicle-shopping page. This is also where properties are purchased.
- Choose the retailer. Select Elitas Travel for ordinary aircraft listings. Select Warstock Cache & Carry for the Deluxo, Oppressor Mk II, Avenger and other military or weaponized vehicles.
- Read the storage and modification information. Before pressing the purchase button, identify whether the vehicle is a personal aircraft, a special vehicle or a personal vehicle with a dedicated workshop path. For a conventional aircraft, make sure you have an owned Hangar. For an Oppressor Mk II, check that you have access to the Terrorbyte Specialized Vehicle Workshop if customization matters to you.
- Confirm the purchase. The game deducts GTA$ and assigns the vehicle to the appropriate storage system. If the purchase screen presents a storage selection, choose the Hangar or other eligible property shown there.
- Request the vehicle. Rockstar’s starter guidance points to the Mechanic for personal-vehicle delivery. The Oppressor Mk II announcement specifically supports delivery through the Interaction Menu. Aircraft and special vehicles can expose different request entries, so use the menu option associated with the vehicle you bought rather than assuming every aircraft is delivered the same way.
- Test it in a safe area. Take off away from traffic and crowded activity, confirm the controls on your platform, and practice landing before using the vehicle for a mission.
Flying cars: the Deluxo
The Imponte Deluxo is the clearest example of a flying car in GTA Online. Rockstar’s vehicle guide categorizes it as a flying vehicle, but it remains useful as a conventional road car. Drive it on the ground when roads are faster or when you need to stay inconspicuous; switch to its flight mode when terrain, obstacles or vertical travel make normal driving inefficient.
When the Deluxo makes sense
- Mixed travel: You can begin a trip on roads, then leave the ground when a route is blocked or a destination is difficult to reach.
- Vertical access: Flight mode helps you approach rooftops, elevated targets and locations separated by water or rough terrain.
- Learning curve: It behaves as a car until you deliberately change modes, giving new pilots a familiar fallback.
The exact button used to change modes depends on the current control mapping and platform. Check the Controls section in your pause menu instead of copying a button from an old video. The game has changed bindings and vehicle behavior over time, and a controller layout cannot safely be stated as universal.
Flying motorcycles: the Oppressor Mk II
The Pegassi Oppressor Mk II is designed for rapid point-to-point movement. Rockstar describes its rocket-boost functionality as a way to cover long distances quickly. That makes it useful when you need to move between mission objectives, properties and activities without committing to a runway or a conventional aircraft route.
Storage and customization
The Mk II can be stored anywhere, but Rockstar states that it is exclusively customizable in the Terrorbyte Specialized Vehicle Workshop. This is the key ownership distinction: storage does not require the same Hangar arrangement as a conventional plane, while meaningful customization does require the Terrorbyte workshop.

How to request the Mk II
- Enter an active GTA Online session with the bike owned.
- Open the Interaction Menu using your platform’s current menu control.
- Choose the vehicle or service entry that lists the Oppressor Mk II.
- Select the delivery option and wait for the game to place the bike in an eligible nearby location.
- Approach it, mount it and verify that the boost and flight controls respond before starting a mission.
The same Rockstar announcement identifies Interaction Menu delivery for both the Terrorbyte and the Mk II. If the delivery entry is unavailable, check whether the vehicle is destroyed, in storage, already in use, or blocked by the current activity. Leaving an interior or ending a mission can also be necessary before the game exposes normal free-roam delivery options.

Using the Mk II responsibly
Use the boost for acceleration and long crossings, then reduce speed before landing. A straight-line approach is easier to control than a sharp turn at full speed. Practice low-altitude movement over open ground first; buildings, power lines and narrow streets leave little recovery room. The bike’s fast travel role does not remove the need to learn braking, turning and landing.
Conventional aircraft: planes and helicopters
Planes and helicopters are bought through the named aircraft retailers and kept as personal aircraft in a Hangar. They are the better choice when you specifically need aircraft handling, a runway launch, a helicopter’s hover capability or a model’s specialized mission role.
Planes
Fixed-wing aircraft reward planning. Leave enough space for takeoff, climb to a safe altitude before turning, and begin your descent early. A runway or open stretch of land is safer than trying to launch between buildings. When crossing the map, use broad turns and watch the terrain ahead instead of focusing only on the destination marker.
Helicopters
Helicopters are practical where a plane is awkward: rooftops, small clearings and short hops between nearby objectives. Hovering makes them easier to position over a target, but low-speed control around buildings still requires practice. Keep the nose clear of walls and poles when changing altitude, and avoid landing directly in traffic.
Map travel and mission use
Rockstar’s starter tips identify aircraft as a way to cross the map. In free roam, that means an aircraft can replace a long road trip. In missions, however, the activity may restrict personal aircraft, disable weapons or place a vehicle in a fixed spawn location. Read the mission’s vehicle instructions and do not assume that a plane in your Hangar is available in every activity.

VTOL aircraft: Hydra and other vertical-takeoff planes
VTOL aircraft combine airplane travel with vertical takeoff and landing. Rockstar’s update notes document a VTOL activation-button update for all planes and specifically mention the Hydra and P-996 Lazer cannon adjustments. Because the binding is platform- and configuration-dependent, open the current Controls menu and identify the command labeled for VTOL or flight-mode activation before attempting it in a mission.
Basic VTOL practice
- Start in an open area with enough room to recover from a mistake.
- Confirm the current VTOL control in Settings before entering the aircraft.
- Use vertical mode for takeoff when a runway is unavailable.
- Once clear of obstacles, transition to forward flight for efficient travel.
- Reduce speed and return to the appropriate mode before landing.
- Practice the transition repeatedly in free roam; do not learn it for the first time under mission pressure.
There is no single button that can be guaranteed for every platform and control scheme. If an old guide tells you to press one specific key, treat it as a historical example and verify the live binding instead.
The Avenger and the Hangar workshop
The Avenger is a large special aircraft with an important ownership exception: Rockstar’s update notes state that it can be purchased without first owning a Facility. It can be stored in an owned Hangar, so the Hangar remains the relevant property for storage even though a Facility is not a prerequisite.

Rockstar documents a Hangar Workshop upgrade that includes the Mk II Weapon Workshop. The exact upgrade choices shown to you depend on the current property configuration, but the practical rule is straightforward: buy or install the Hangar workshop if you need the aircraft-related modification facilities instead of assuming that the base Hangar includes every bench.
Hangar checklist
- Own the Hangar before purchasing conventional personal aircraft.
- Confirm that the aircraft appears in Hangar storage after purchase.
- Install the Hangar Workshop when you need workshop functions.
- Use the included Mk II Weapon Workshop capability for the weapon modifications supported by your current setup.
- Use the additional Flight School entry point available from an owned Hangar to practice basic piloting.

Choosing the right vehicle for your play style
Choose the Deluxo if you want one vehicle for roads and air
The Deluxo is the flexible choice for players who do not want to commit to an aircraft-only control scheme. Its ground mode handles ordinary city travel, while flight mode bypasses traffic and terrain. It is a good fit for exploration and mixed routes where the destination changes between street level and elevated locations.
Choose the Oppressor Mk II if speed and convenience come first
The Mk II is focused on rapid movement rather than conventional aviation. It is easier to deploy for a short trip because it does not depend on Hangar storage, and the Interaction Menu delivery path is explicit. Budget for the Terrorbyte Specialized Vehicle Workshop if you want to customize it; without that workshop, storage and basic use remain possible but the exclusive upgrade path is unavailable.

Choose a plane or helicopter if you want aircraft handling
Conventional aircraft are preferable when you enjoy piloting, need a runway or hover capability, or want a model built around aircraft-specific movement. A Hangar is part of the ownership plan, not an optional afterthought.
Choose a VTOL plane if you need vertical access and forward-flight speed
VTOL aircraft reduce the runway requirement and can transition into fast forward flight. They demand more practice because you must manage the mode change and verify the current control binding. Learn the transition in Flight School or free roam before relying on it for a high-stakes activity.

“I bought a plane but cannot find it”
Check the Hangar first. Conventional personal aircraft are stored there rather than in a normal street-garage slot. Enter the Hangar and inspect its aircraft list, then use the aircraft request option available in the current Interaction Menu or property interface.
“The Oppressor Mk II is stored, but I cannot modify it”
Storage and customization are separate requirements. The Mk II can be stored anywhere, but Rockstar restricts customization to the Terrorbyte Specialized Vehicle Workshop. Move the bike to that workshop and verify that the Terrorbyte has the specialized vehicle bay installed.
“The Avenger requires a Facility”
That requirement is not necessary according to Rockstar’s update notes. The Avenger can be purchased without first owning a Facility, but it still needs an owned Hangar for storage.
“I cannot find the VTOL button”
Open the current platform Controls menu and search for the VTOL or flight-mode command. Rockstar has updated the VTOL activation control, and a key shown in an older guide may not match your platform or custom layout.

“The delivery option is missing”
End an activity that restricts vehicle requests, leave an interior if necessary, and check whether the vehicle is destroyed, already active or blocked by the current location. For the Mk II, use the Interaction Menu entry specifically associated with that bike; for other personal vehicles, use the Mechanic or aircraft request option shown by the game.
Safe practice routine for new pilots
- Enter free roam rather than a timed mission.
- Use the Flight School entry point available from an owned Hangar, or choose an open practice area.
- Learn throttle, braking, turning and landing before adding weapons or high-speed travel.
- Practice one complete takeoff-and-landing cycle with the Deluxo, a helicopter or a plane.
- If using a VTOL aircraft, repeat the vertical-to-forward and forward-to-vertical transitions until you can do them without looking away from the flight path.
- Only then use the vehicle for activities where a crash, destruction or missed objective costs time.
Following this order prevents the most common beginner mistake: buying an expensive flying vehicle, skipping its storage or workshop requirement, and then trying to learn unfamiliar controls in a mission.
Quick answers
Where do I buy a flying car in GTA Online?
Open Internet on the iFruit phone and check Warstock Cache & Carry for the Imponte Deluxo. Elitas Travel is the primary aircraft retailer, not the usual source for the Deluxo.

Yes for conventional personal aircraft: an owned Hangar is the normal storage property. The Oppressor Mk II is the notable exception because Rockstar says it can be stored anywhere.
How do I call my Oppressor Mk II?
Open the Interaction Menu and choose the delivery option for the Oppressor Mk II. The bike must be owned and available rather than destroyed, already active or restricted by the current activity.
Where can I customize the Oppressor Mk II?
Only in the Terrorbyte Specialized Vehicle Workshop. A Hangar workshop does not replace that requirement.
How do I turn on VTOL for the Hydra?
Use the current VTOL activation binding shown in your platform’s Controls menu. Rockstar has updated the activation control for planes, so do not rely on a universal keyboard or controller button.
