The practical post-launch way to buy the Halo cup is through resale listings, especially when you search for the exact promotion and design rather than a generic “Xbox cup.” The item is part of IHOP’s Stack Market collectible-glass promotion announced by Xbox on November 13, 2024. Listings can appear as a single Halo Infinite glass, a complete multi-design set, or another glass from the same promotion.
Use “IHOP Xbox Halo collectible glass,” “Halo Master Chief IHOP glass,” and “Xbox IHOP collector glass” as your starting searches. Then verify the artwork, branding, condition, seller, and total delivered cost before paying. The Xbox Gear Shop can help identify official Xbox and Halo drinkware, but its Halo collection currently says the shop will be back soon, so catalog appearance is not proof that an item is orderable.

Identify the exact Xbox and Halo collectible
The cup most readers mean is an IHOP Stack Market collectible glass, not a generic Xbox mug and not McDonald’s Collector’s Edition merchandise. Xbox announced the promotion on November 13, 2024. The glasses used original artwork by Matt Taylor and featured four game designs:

The Halo version is often described by sellers as a “Master Chief” glass because Master Chief is the most recognizable character associated with Halo. Searchers should still confirm that the listing identifies Halo Infinite or shows the artwork from the Xbox announcement; “Master Chief cup” by itself can describe unrelated merchandise.

This was a promotional launch tied to IHOP’s Stack Market. It was not described as a permanently stocked retail product. After launch, availability is therefore irregular: a marketplace may have individual glasses, a complete set, or nothing for several days, while another seller lists one at any time. A restaurant counter purchase is not a reliable post-launch plan.
Where to look after launch
Resale marketplaces
Resale marketplaces are the most practical route once the promotion has ended. eBay listings have included individual Halo or Master Chief glasses, complete sets, and the other Xbox designs. Inventory, condition, and asking prices change continuously, so treat every listing as a separate transaction rather than assuming that one seller represents the market.
Search the marketplace itself and, if useful, a general web search that includes the marketplace name. Keep the phrase “IHOP” in the query. Searches for only “Xbox glass” produce unrelated drinkware and can hide the Stack Market item among ordinary mugs, pint glasses, and promotional products.
The official Xbox Gear Shop
The Xbox Gear Shop is useful for confirming how official Xbox and Halo drinkware is named and styled. Its Halo collection landing page currently displays the message “THE XBOX GEAR SHOP WILL BE BACK SOON.” That status means direct-shop stock is unconfirmed; do not treat an old product page or a search-engine result as an order opportunity until the storefront allows checkout.
The shop’s 2024 catalog listed an Xbox Cherub Mug at £11.99. That catalog price identifies a different Xbox drinkware product and should not be used as a price guide for the limited IHOP glass. Catalog pages can remain visible after an item is unavailable, and the listed price was for that catalog item in 2024, not a current quote for the collectible glass.
Restaurant locations and informal listings
Because the original distribution was part of a timed IHOP promotion, a restaurant may no longer have stock even if a local employee remembers the campaign. A social-media post or local classified listing can be a lead, but apply the same photo and condition checks used for a large marketplace. Do not send payment based solely on a promotional image or a claim that a glass is “official.”

Search phrases that find the right listing
Start with the exact name, then add one distinguishing term at a time. This keeps results broad enough to find inventory while filtering out unrelated Xbox merchandise.

- Use new in box or unopened when packaging is important to you.
- Search for both the single item and the set: try IHOP Xbox glass set as well as the individual Halo phrase.
Save a few searches with spelling variations. Sellers may write “Xbox IHOP glass,” “IHOP collector glass,” or “Halo Infinite cup” instead of using the full campaign name. Check the photographs before assuming that two differently titled listings are different products.
How to verify that a listing is the Halo IHOP glass
Match the artwork and branding
Ask for clear, current photographs of the actual glass, not only a stock image. Compare the art with the Halo Infinite design described in Xbox’s announcement. Look for the expected Xbox and IHOP promotional identity where it appears on the item. A listing that shows only a cropped character, a dark silhouette, or a low-resolution image does not give you enough evidence to identify the product.
Photos should show the front and back, the rim and base, and any printed marks. If the seller has a box, label, or promotional insert, request photographs of those as well. Packaging can support an identification, but its presence should not be assumed: used glasses may have been sold or stored without a box.
Confirm the condition in writing
Marketplace listings commonly expose condition fields such as new, used, unopened, or missing packaging. Read the field and the seller’s description together; a title saying “new” does not necessarily mean that the original box or insert is included.
Ask specifically about:
- chips on the rim or base;
- cracks, hairline fractures, or repairs;
- stains, cloudiness, or residue;
- scratches through the printed art;
- odor from long-term storage;
- whether the glass has been washed or used; and
- whether every piece shown in a set is included.
Have the seller confirm answers through the marketplace’s messaging system. Written answers make it easier to resolve a dispute if the delivered item differs from the description.

Evaluate the seller and transaction terms
Compare seller feedback, the number of completed sales, recent comments about packing fragile items, return terms, and the estimated delivery date. A seller with a lower item price may charge more for shipping or offer no returns. A seller with a higher headline price may include original packaging or safer shipping, which can change the real value.
Compare listings by total value
When more than one listing is available, put the relevant differences side by side. The following comparison points prevent the common mistake of choosing the cheapest headline number.

What should you pay?
No reliable production-volume, sell-through, or average-resale-price figure has been published for these Xbox and Halo glasses. A live listing is an asking price, not proof of what buyers actually pay. The most defensible way to judge a price is to compare several contemporaneous listings with the same design, condition, packaging, and shipping terms.
Use this calculation for every candidate:
Total cost = item price + shipping + tax + import charges + currency-conversion cost.
Then compare like with like. A used Halo glass without packaging should not be measured against an unopened complete set. Likewise, a complete set can command more simply because replacing the missing design later may require multiple shipping charges and additional breakage risk. If you want only Halo, calculate whether buying one glass is cheaper and less risky than purchasing a set and reselling the other three.
Be cautious when a seller describes a price as a “market value” without completed-sale evidence. The available listing pages demonstrate what is being offered, not a verified market average.

Shipping, breakage, and international purchases
Glassware needs more planning than a typical collectible. Before checkout, confirm that the seller uses protective inner wrapping, a rigid outer carton, and enough cushioning to prevent movement. If the listing does not explain packing, ask before paying. Keep the seller’s answer with the transaction record.

A low item price can disappear once these charges are added. Delivery geography also affects how long the glass is exposed to handling, so compare a domestic listing with a slightly more expensive international one on total risk, not just sticker price.
If the package arrives with visible impact damage, photograph the carton and packing before discarding anything. If the glass is chipped, cracked, stained, or materially different from the listing, use the marketplace’s dispute or return process and provide the saved photographs, description, and messages.

McDonald’s announced a separate Collector’s Edition cup campaign on August 7, 2024, with availability beginning August 13. Its announcement stated that cup availability varied by market. Those cups are not evidence that an IHOP Xbox or Halo glass is genuine, and a McDonald’s listing should not be used to identify the Stack Market item.
There is also a later, separate announcement for McDonald’s UK and Ireland: a limited-time Side Missions menu inspired by Halo and other Microsoft franchises was scheduled to begin August 25, 2026. That announcement describes food and in-game rewards; it does not document a collectible cup. A listing that references the 2026 menu therefore does not establish that it includes the 2024 IHOP glass.

Use the Xbox Gear Shop as an identification reference
The Xbox Gear Shop’s drinkware catalog has carried Xbox and Halo products, making it useful when you need to distinguish official franchise styling from an unrelated fan-made glass. Its 2024 catalog entry for the Xbox Cherub Mug was £11.99. That figure belongs to the mug and that catalog date; it is not a stated price for the IHOP Stack Market Halo glass.
Because the Halo collection page currently says “THE XBOX GEAR SHOP WILL BE BACK SOON,” check the storefront at the moment you intend to buy. If the shop has not reopened or does not list the Stack Market glass, continue with the resale verification process rather than assuming that an archived catalog page means stock exists.
Common problems and how to handle them
The search returns ordinary Xbox drinkware
Add “IHOP,” “Stack Market,” or “Halo Infinite” to the query. Open the photographs and reject listings that do not show the promotional glass format or the expected artwork.
The seller shows only a promotional image
Request photographs of the actual item, including the base, rim, labels, and packaging if present. Do not rely on an official-looking image that could have been copied from an announcement.
A set is missing one design
Ask the seller to list every included glass by game title. If you need only Halo, compare the incomplete set’s delivered cost with an individual Halo listing; the set is not automatically better value.
The glass arrives damaged
Keep the carton and packing, photograph the damage, and open a return or dispute through the marketplace within its stated deadline. Your saved listing and seller messages establish what condition was promised.
The official store page exists but checkout is unavailable
Treat the page as a reference only. The current “back soon” message means availability has not been confirmed. Do not send money outside a protected checkout because an archived page appears in search results.
