To change your camera in Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC), enter a driving session, open the in-session menu, and select View Settings. There you can adjust field of view (FOV), seat position and pitch, camera motion, and other view-specific options. FOV changes how much of the scene is framed; seat controls move your viewpoint. They solve different problems.
Where to find camera settings in ACC
- Enter a driving session. Camera options are available from the in-session menu, not the ordinary Video menu.
- Open the in-session menu. On PC, a September 2023 Steam Community discussion describes pressing Escape while in the car. On a console or with a different binding, use the displayed menu control or check your bindings.
- Select View Settings. Choose the camera or settings page you want to adjust; labels and available options can vary by game version and platform.
The menu path is supported by the Steam Community discussion. The setting list below comes from United Corsa’s independent ACC settings reference, which says it was checked against the current configuration model in August 2026; it is not a Kunos manual.

Use FOV to change the framing of the cockpit and track. Use seat height, lateral position, distance, and pitch to place your viewpoint relative to the car’s interior. Raising the seat, for example, moves the view; it does not make FOV wider. Adjust one control at a time while stationary, then check the result on track so you can tell which change helped.
- Change FOV when you want to alter how much of the scene fits in the view.
- Change height, lateral position, or distance when the viewpoint needs to move up or down, left or right, or closer to or farther from the cockpit.
- Change pitch when you need to tilt the viewpoint.
There is no source-backed universal FOV number that is correct for every player and display. Choose a view that is comfortable and usable for your setup rather than treating a single value as a rule.

Adjusting camera movement
View Settings also includes movement and Lock to Horizon controls, along with a movement or dashcam factor and look-with-steer options in the independent settings reference. These affect camera behavior, not the seat’s position.
- If the view feels too active, experiment with the movement-related controls and Lock to Horizon.
- If you want more camera response, adjust the movement or dashcam factor and assess the result in a session.
- If you want the view to respond to steering, check the look-with-steer options.
These are preferences, not mandatory realism settings. Change one option at a time and keep the adjustment that makes the view easier for you to use.

Choosing a camera view
ACC’s view options include cockpit, dash, helmet, and external perspectives. The right choice depends on what you want to see and how you play; no one view is universally best. Driver and steering-wheel visibility are also separately listed settings, so you can tune what appears in supported driving views without confusing visibility with camera position.
Settings that may not carry over
Community guidance from September 2023 reports that FOV is global across cars but specific to the selected driving view, while height, lateral position, distance, and pitch are specific to both the car and view. This is observed community behavior, not an official current manual. If an adjustment seems to disappear or differ, first confirm the selected car and camera view, then reopen View Settings for that combination.

Triple-screen and VR setups
The basic camera adjustments do not fully calibrate multi-display or VR setups. The independent settings reference treats those as separate configuration topics:

These describe display geometry and are separate from simply moving the in-car viewpoint.
- VR: settings include pixel density and virtual-to-real scale; rendering resolution involves performance trade-offs. Adjust these for the VR setup rather than assuming single-screen camera steps will calibrate it.
Options exposed can differ by platform and game version. Search results have included conflicting player reports about console behavior, and there is no authoritative current platform-by-platform matrix establishing identical controls across PC and consoles. Check the options shown in your own version.
