How to change FOV in Battlefield 6
- From the main menu, open the Settings gear or cog.
- Select Graphics.
- Scroll to Camera Settings.
- Adjust Field Of View to your preferred value. EA’s settings guide names this control alongside separate vehicle and weapon FOV options. EA Help’s PC and controller settings guide gives this menu path. If you play on console or with a controller and labels differ, look for the equivalent Settings and Graphics menus.
EA’s Battlefield 6 Accessibility Resources lists the gameplay Field Of View range as 85 to 120.
Choosing a gameplay FOV
A higher FOV shows more of your surroundings, but distant enemies and objects appear smaller. EA recommends 110 as a starting suggestion and advises trying settings in the Firing Range; it is not an objectively best value. Adjust it until you can see enough around you while keeping targets easy to read.
Your display and how far you sit from it affect what feels comfortable. EA’s new-player guide notes that a higher setting is not necessarily better and recommends choosing based on your monitor and viewing distance.

Gameplay, vehicle, and weapon FOV are separate
In Camera Settings, EA lists three distinct controls:
- Field Of View: the gameplay FOV slider, listed from 85 to 120.
- Vehicle 3rd Person Field Of View: a separate setting for the third-person vehicle view.
- Weapon Field Of View: a separate weapon-view setting. EA suggests starting at Wide if you want to see as much around you as possible. This is not the same control as the main gameplay FOV slider.
Optic zoom and picture-in-picture
FOV is not the only setting that affects how aiming looks. EA’s Update 1.4.3.0 notes describe an option to turn off picture-in-picture zoom on optics. When it is off, zoom uses full-screen FOV rather than combining full-screen FOV with additional zoom inside the optic. EA says this changes how total zoom is applied, not the total magnification scale. Check the current in-game option, since later updates may change its availability or label.
