On Nintendo Switch, the reliable way to check a game’s current price is to open its product page in Nintendo eShop. The page shows the regular price and, when a promotion is active, the sale price beneath it. You can save the game with the wishlist control, then return to Nintendo eShop > your user icon > Wish List to view or remove saved items.
Prices, promotions, menus and wishlist features can differ by country and interface. A Nintendo Store app wishlist is also separate from the eShop wishlist, so do not assume that saving a game in one service will make it appear in another.

Check a Nintendo Switch game’s current price
The eShop listing is the source to use for the price available to your Nintendo Account. Prices are time-sensitive and region-sensitive: the same game can have a different price, currency, tax treatment or promotion in another country’s storefront, and a sale can end without notice. Check the listing while signed in to the account and region you intend to use for the purchase.

2. Search for the game
- Use the eShop search function and enter the game’s title.
- Review the results and select the matching game. Check the publisher, edition and thumbnail so you do not open downloadable content, a demo or a bundle by mistake.
- If you are browsing rather than searching, narrow results with the available price range or genre filters.
Search results can contain multiple editions of one release. A standard game, deluxe edition, expansion pass and bundle may each have a different price and may not share the same promotion.
3. Read the product page
Open the product page and look at the purchase area. If no promotion is active, the displayed amount is the current regular price for that storefront. When a discount applies, Nintendo’s eShop guidance places the sale price below the regular price. Check any displayed end date or promotion terms before relying on the discount.
- Regular price: the normal listed amount for that edition in your storefront.
- Sale price: the lower promotional amount shown while the promotion is active.
- Edition: confirm whether the listing is the base game, a bundle, downloadable content or an upgrade.
- Region: verify the currency and storefront associated with your Nintendo Account.
Do not use a price from a search engine result, an old screenshot or another person’s console as a guaranteed current price. The product page is the appropriate place to confirm what your account is being offered at that moment.

You can usually save a game from its eShop listing or product page. The exact button name and controller shortcut can vary by region, device and interface. Look for the wishlist control on the listing; some Nintendo regional instructions describe pressing the X button, while other interfaces present an on-screen add-to-wishlist command.

From the Switch eShop
- Open the game’s product page in Nintendo eShop.
- Select the visible wishlist control, or use the shortcut shown on-screen (the Japanese regional guide documents X for its interface).
- Wait for the confirmation that the item was added, or check that the wishlist icon has changed state.
The Japanese instructions are explicitly for Japan-region accounts, so do not assume that the same letter-button shortcut appears in every country. Use the label and control shown in your own storefront.
From Nintendo’s website
Nintendo’s Australian support instructions also describe adding a game from the browser website while signed in. Open the game’s listing on the official Nintendo site, sign in to the Nintendo Account associated with your Switch, and choose the page’s wishlist command. The wording and placement can differ from the console eShop.
Before saving from a browser, confirm that you are signed in to the intended account. A browser session for a different Nintendo Account can leave you with a wishlist that appears to be missing when you later check the Switch.

If the list is empty
- Verify that you opened eShop with the same Switch user and Nintendo Account used when the game was saved.
- Check whether you saved the item in a different service, such as the Nintendo Store app or a website wishlist.
- Confirm that the title was added successfully rather than merely viewed.
- Reopen the product page and look for the wishlist state or add command.
- Remember that menus and availability are regional; a control documented for one country may not appear identically in another.
Which Nintendo wishlist are you using?
Nintendo uses more than one wishlist surface. They should be treated as separate unless Nintendo explicitly states otherwise for your region and account.
| Where you save the game | How you access it | What it is useful for | Sharing and notifications |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nintendo eShop Wish List | Switch: Nintendo eShop > user icon > Wish List | Checking eShop listings and managing saved games on the console | Do not assume it is shared with the Nintendo Store app or every website wishlist |
| Official Nintendo website wishlist | Use the wishlist control while signed in on Nintendo’s website, where available | Saving items while browsing in a web browser | Availability and behavior can vary by country; do not assume automatic synchronization with eShop |
| Nintendo Store app wishlist | Use the Nintendo Store app in a supported region | Receiving certain sale and game-release notifications for saved items | Nintendo UK states that this wishlist is separate from the eShop and official Nintendo website wishlists |
Nintendo’s UK support information specifically distinguishes the Nintendo Store wishlist from both the eShop wishlist and the official Nintendo website wishlist. If an item appears in one list but not another, that difference may be expected rather than a failed sync.
Get sale or release alerts with the Nintendo Store app
In supported regions, Nintendo’s Store app can send notifications about sales and game releases for items saved to its own wishlist. This is an optional tracking method, not a guarantee that the eShop wishlist itself will generate alerts.
What to check before relying on notifications
- Region support: the Americas app FAQ lists supported countries; availability is not universal.
- Correct list: save the game to the Nintendo Store app wishlist, not only to the eShop Wish List, if you want the app’s notifications.
- Device permissions: allow notifications for the app in the phone’s operating-system settings.
- Timing: an alert tells you that a promotion or release event is available; open the eShop product page to verify the current price and terms.
Because Nintendo documents these lists as separate, adding a game to the eShop on Switch does not by itself establish that the Nintendo Store app will notify you.

Why the price you see may differ from another player’s
Different Nintendo Account regions
Nintendo eShop prices are tied to the storefront used by the account. A title can have different currencies and promotions in different countries. Regional account rules can also affect which store features are available.
A promotion has ended or not started
Sale prices are temporary. If another player saw a discount earlier, their screenshot may show a promotion that has ended. Conversely, a sale that is active in one region may not be running in yours.
Different editions or content
Standard, deluxe and bundle listings can look similar in search results. Open the product page and read the edition description before comparing amounts. Downloadable content and upgrade packs are separate products from the base game.
Taxes or checkout totals
The product page shows the storefront’s listed price. The final amount can depend on the account’s country and applicable checkout treatment. Use the purchase screen for the amount that will actually be charged, and do not infer another region’s total from your own listing.

A practical routine for tracking a game
- Find the exact edition: search the title and confirm the product type.
- Record the live listing: note the regular and, if present, sale price shown on your account’s product page.
- Save it in the right list: use the eShop Wish List for console management, or the Nintendo Store app wishlist if you specifically want supported app alerts.
- Check the list: on Switch, go to Nintendo eShop, open the user icon and select Wish List.
- Recheck before buying: open the listing again because price and promotion status can change.
This routine avoids the most common mistake: treating a saved title, a browser bookmark and an app notification as if they were one synchronized Nintendo wishlist.
Troubleshooting common wishlist and price problems
“I cannot find the Wish List option.”
Open eShop with the account that owns the saved items, then select the user icon in the upper-right. If the option is still absent, the interface or account region may expose different features. Check the product page and Nintendo’s support information for your country rather than following a button path from another region.
“The game is on sale for someone else but not for me.”
Compare the storefront region, account, edition and date of the two listings. Promotions are not necessarily global, and a sale may have ended or be scheduled for a different period in your region.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors“I saved the game in the app, but it is not on my Switch.”
That is consistent with Nintendo’s documented separation between the Nintendo Store wishlist and the eShop wishlist. Add the game directly to the eShop Wish List on Switch or through the website interface associated with that list.
“The app did not send an alert.”
Confirm that your country is supported, that the item is in the Nintendo Store app’s wishlist, and that phone notifications are enabled. An eShop wishlist save alone does not promise an app notification.
Quick Recap
What to remember
- Use the game’s Nintendo eShop product page for its current regular or sale price.
- Search can be narrowed by price range and genre, which helps when browsing a large catalog.
- Add a title with the wishlist control shown in your storefront; button shortcuts differ by region and interface.
- On Switch, the saved eShop list is under Nintendo eShop > user icon > Wish List.
- Nintendo Store app, official website and eShop wishlists are not automatically one shared list; Nintendo UK explicitly documents the Store app list as separate.
- Prices, discounts, notifications and feature availability depend on time, country and account region, so verify the listing immediately before purchase.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
