You can check whether a friend appears online or offline on their Roblox profile or in your Friends list, but Roblox’s documented interface does not show a friend’s last-online time. What you see depends on that person’s visibility settings, so “offline” does not tell you when they last played.
Where to check a friend’s Roblox status
Open the friend’s Roblox profile or look for them in your Friends list. Roblox says people outside an account holder’s selected audience will see that account as offline in those places. See Roblox Support’s Online Status and Visibility guidance.

The documented status is online or offline—not a historical “last seen” timestamp. An offline indicator alone cannot establish when your friend last played, or whether they are using Roblox; their privacy settings may affect what appears to you.

Roblox lets users choose who can see their online status. Depending on the account’s age and region, the available audience may include friends, trusted friends, followers, users the account follows, everyone on Roblox, or no one. The choices can vary by account, so you may not see the same options another player does.
#1 Best Overall
- Redemption: Online only. Robux cards can only be redeemed in a browser at Roblox.com/redeem. They cannot be redeemed in the Roblox mobile app or any video game console.
- Roblox is an immersive platform for connection and communication. Every day, millions of people come to Roblox to create, play, work, learn, and connect with each other in experiences built by our global community of creators.
- Get more with every Roblox Gift Card! From now on, when you redeem a Roblox gift card, you get up to 25% more Robux. Perfect for gaming, creating, and exploring- more Robux means more possibilities!
- Deck out your avatar and unlock additional perks in your favorite experiences when you use Roblox Gift Cards to purchase Robux (Roblox's virtual currency).
- Each gift card grants a free virtual item upon redemption.
If your friend has not included you in the audience they selected, you may see them as offline even if that does not reflect when they last played. Roblox does not document a way for another player to bypass that setting and retrieve a last-online time.
How to change your own online-status audience
- Open Settings. On desktop, select the gear icon in the upper-right corner. On mobile, select More at the bottom right, then Settings.
- Open Privacy & content restrictions.
- Select Visibility & private servers, then Visibility.
- Under Online Status, choose the audience you want.
Roblox’s documented settings path and audience choices can vary with age, region, and platform updates.

Online status is not the same as activity sharing
Roblox treats online status, visibility of the experience you are currently playing, and Share activity updates as separate controls. Activity updates let friends receive updates about recent in-experience activity; Roblox’s support documentation does not describe them as a way to see when someone was last online.
