No standard claim form is required for eligible class members.
Check these four eligibility requirements
The settlement’s class definition is narrower than simply owning a PlayStation or buying a game during the relevant years. Check each requirement:

- United States: The class is defined for people in the United States.
- PlayStation Store purchase: You must have bought the game digitally through the PlayStation Store. Buying a physical copy from a retailer, by itself, does not meet this requirement.
- Purchase date: The transaction must have occurred from April 1, 2019, through December 31, 2023.
- Qualifying game: The exact game or product edition must appear on the official eligible-games list linked from the settlement website. Compare the product name or ID where possible; a related title in the same franchise is not necessarily the listed product.
The official list includes titles and editions such as Trials Fusion, NieR: Automata, Dragon Quest Builders, EA SPORTS FIFA 17 Standard Edition, and The Last of Us Remastered. These are examples, not a substitute for checking the full list against your particular purchase.
What the voucher and price rules mean
A qualifying game must also meet three game-level conditions under the settlement definition:
Quick wins for a faster PC:

- Redeem for anything on PlayStationStore: games, add-ons, PlayStationPlus and more.
- Everything you want to play. Choose from the largest library of PlayStation content.
- Use gift card funds to contribute towards PlayStationPlus memberships.
- A game-specific voucher for that title was available at retail before April 1, 2019.
- At least 200 of those vouchers had been redeemed before April 1, 2019.
- The game’s post-discount price increased by at least $0.50 when comparing January 1, 2017–March 31, 2019 with April 1, 2019–December 31, 2023.
A game-specific voucher is a physical voucher or electronic code bought from a retailer other than Sony Interactive Entertainment that enables a PlayStation user to download one particular game from PSN. These tests concern the game’s history; you do not need to have bought or redeemed a voucher yourself. The official eligible-games list is the practical way to check which games the settlement identifies as qualifying.
How to check your purchase and game
- Find the transaction in your PlayStation Store purchase history or other account records. Confirm the date, digital Store channel, title, and edition.
- Open the official PSN Digital Games Settlement website and follow its eligible-games-list link.
- Match the title or product ID to the list. Do not rely only on a franchise name, a physical game you own, or a similar edition.
- If the transaction and listed product appear to match all the class conditions, keep your purchase details for your records. Contact the settlement administrator if you need help with an individual account or purchase-record question.
Do you need to file a claim?
No ordinary claim form is required, according to the administrator’s settlement FAQ. The plan provides for eligible members to receive PlayStation Network account credits, subject to final court approval and the approved allocation plan.

The settlement amount is $7,850,000 in total, not a promised amount per person. The plan allocates the net amount pro rata based on each eligible member’s number of qualifying purchases relative to the total qualifying purchases. Court-approved fees, costs, expenses, service awards, notice, and administration are deducted before distribution, so an individual payment cannot be calculated from the total alone. The FAQ says class counsel may request fees of up to 25% of the settlement amount and aggregate service awards of $30,000 for named plaintiffs; those are requests, not confirmed awards.
If your PSN account is inactive
The administrator’s FAQ said eligible people with deactivated accounts could request payment by check by providing qualifying purchase information and a current address. Its stated deadline was August 27, 2026, which has passed. Contact the administrator to ask whether any current option is available; a late request is not guaranteed to be accepted.

Important deadlines and status as of October 7, 2026
The settlement had preliminary approval, but final approval was still pending as of October 7, 2026. The settlement website’s September 2026 update scheduled the fairness hearing for October 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at 1301 Clay Street, Oakland, California, Courtroom 5, 2nd Floor. The October 1 deadline to file a notice of intent to appear had passed. Check the official website for updates after the hearing and for any final approval or distribution instructions.

The FAQ lists July 2, 2026, as the deadlines to opt out or object; both have passed. It says that a person who did not timely opt out gives up the right to separately sue Sony over the conduct alleged in this action. This is a description of the settlement notice, not advice about an individual legal situation.

The plaintiff alleges that Sony engaged in anticompetitive conduct in the PlayStation digital-game market, causing consumers to pay more for certain games. Sony denies that its conduct violated the law or that class members are entitled to relief. The administrator’s notice states: “THE COURT HAS NOT DECIDED WHETHER DEFENDANT VIOLATED ANY LAWS.”
