You can check which PlayStation Plus games are tied to your account in the Monthly Games area or your game library, but a library entry does not mean you own the game permanently. Monthly games and Game Catalog or Classics Catalog downloads require an active subscription to play. PlayStation says redeemed Plus packs and avatars, along with games you actually bought at a Plus discount, are kept after the membership ends.
How to check your PlayStation Plus games
Use the PlayStation account that claimed or downloaded the game. The console’s installed copy alone does not establish that you have a lasting license.
On PS5
- From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Open the Benefits tab and select Monthly Games to review the monthly titles associated with the service. Select a title to see its available action.
- To browse subscription catalog games, go to Benefits > Game Catalog. Check the title’s current listing and the plan required to access it.
On PS4
- From the function screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Select Monthly Games. PlayStation documents the option to choose Add to Library > Download.
- For subscription catalog titles, open PlayStation Plus and select Game Catalog.
In a browser or the PlayStation App
Sign in to the same account and inspect its library or Monthly Games area. PlayStation also supports starting monthly-game downloads remotely through a web browser or the PlayStation App. For a specific game, confirm its current PlayStation Store or console listing while signed into the account that claimed it. Menu labels can change with console software updates.
What happens to each kind of game when Plus ends?

Monthly games are not the same as catalog downloads
A Monthly Game is claimed into the account’s library during its offer period. That claim lets an eligible subscriber return to the game later, but the account still needs an active membership to play it. If the subscription expires, the game is unavailable until access is restored.

Game Catalog titles, and Classics Catalog titles where included in the plan, are available as part of higher-tier membership benefits. Downloading one does not turn it into a purchased copy. The game can become unavailable either because the subscription ends or because PlayStation removes it from the catalog. PlayStation’s US usage terms say games downloaded through Plus require a valid subscription and the game to remain in the service.
When does access end, and what if you resubscribe?
Canceling renewal does not immediately remove benefits that have already been paid for. PlayStation UK support says membership benefits continue through the period already paid for; access ends when that membership period ends. Check the account’s subscription details for its paid-through date.

Resubscribing restores access to eligible Monthly Games already claimed, provided the game and service remain available. It does not convert a subscription claim into ownership. Catalog access likewise depends on the active plan and the title still being offered.
