To check your Steam Frame reservation, sign in to the Steam account you used to sign up, then open the official Steam Frame product page. While you are logged in, Valve displays your account-specific expected order window. As of October 19, 2026, the page shows whether your purchase email is expected by December 2026 or during 2027; it does not show a guaranteed delivery day or a public queue number.
Check your Steam Frame status in under a minute
- Open Steam in a browser and sign in to the account used for your Steam Frame signup. Using another account can show no reservation information even if you originally registered.
- Go to the official Steam Frame product page.
- Stay signed in while the page loads. Valve says the page now shows your expected order window directly, rather than requiring a separate status form.
- Read the account-specific message. It should identify an expected purchase-email window of “by December 2026” or “in 2027,” or indicate that you are on the waitlist.

What the reservation page is telling you
Valve uses two different outcomes from its one-time randomized signup process. Your account may be in the reservation queue for the model you selected, or it may be on the waitlist because its randomized position was beyond the units initially available to reserve.

Valve’s description of the waitlist is specific: when it randomized the reservation queue, your place ended up beyond the number of Steam Frame units available to reserve. A waitlist entry is still tied to the relevant model and region; it is not a general request that can automatically switch to another configuration.

If the page says your order email should arrive by December 2026, Valve currently gives no public day-by-day schedule. “By December 2026” describes the latest month in the stated window, not a guaranteed arrival date. Continue checking the product page and the email address attached to your Steam account.

A 2027 message means Valve expects to send the purchase invitation sometime in 2027. Valve has promised more detailed timing information for this group by January 2027. Until that update appears, the page does not establish a month, week, queue position, or delivery date.
Why there is no queue number
Valve publishes an expected order window rather than a public ordinal position such as “number 12,345.” The absence of a queue number is normal. It also means you cannot calculate your purchase date by comparing your account with another customer’s screenshot. Separate model and regional lists make those comparisons even less reliable.
The 72-hour purchase deadline
Receiving a purchase email changes your next step: you must complete checkout within 72 hours. Valve says it will move to the next person in line when that window expires. The deadline applies to the purchase link, not to the original signup and not to the time you have spent waiting.
- Open the email promptly and follow its purchase link while signed in to the same Steam account.
- Confirm that the model and shipping destination shown at checkout are the ones associated with your reservation.
- Complete payment and all required checkout details before the 72-hour period ends.
- Save the order confirmation. If the link is expired, the position may have been released to the next customer; contact Steam Support rather than attempting to create a second signup.
Do not assume that visiting the product page starts the timer. The timer starts when Valve sends your purchase email. Conversely, an email can arrive while the public product page still displays a broad month or year, so treat the email’s deadline as the controlling checkout date.

How to avoid losing the window
Keep access to the account email throughout the expected period. Check spam, promotions, quarantine, and forwarding folders, and make sure a full inbox or an old forwarding rule is not blocking Steam messages. Add legitimate Steam or Valve mail to your safe-sender list, but verify the destination before clicking: the safest route is to open the message while already signed in and confirm that the checkout page is on Steam’s official domain.
Record the message’s send time as soon as it arrives and calculate the 72-hour cutoff. Do not wait until the final evening to resolve payment, address, or account-sign-in problems. A product-page visit, a status-email receipt, or a saved screenshot does not complete the purchase; only successful checkout preserves the opportunity.
How signup dates affect your place
Steam Frame signups opened on September 14, 2026. Valve randomized eligible signups on September 17 and began fulfilling reservation orders on September 18. Signups closed at 10 a.m. Pacific on September 17; registrations submitted after that cutoff went to the back of the waitlist.
Eligibility was limited to Steam accounts in good standing that had made a Steam purchase before April 27, 2026. Valve also limited participation to one signup per household. These rules explain why a later account, an account with no qualifying purchase, or a second household signup may not show the same status as an eligible reservation.

The dates describe queue administration, not a promise that every eligible signup receives an identical email date. Valve’s randomization occurred before fulfillment began, and the account page remains the place to see the resulting window. There is no published total-unit count, queue-size figure, or conversion rate that would allow an independent calculation.
Model and region are part of your reservation
256GB versus 1TB
You selected one of two separate lists: Steam Frame 256GB or Steam Frame 1TB. Valve says the model cannot be changed after randomization and the status email. Canceling releases your place; it does not convert the reservation to the other capacity.

Shipping-region queues
Valve maintains separate queues by shipping region as well as by model. The signup lists cover North America, the United Kingdom and European Union, and Australia. Regional demand and inventory therefore affect the window displayed on your account; another customer’s date in a different region is not a reliable comparison.

Availability and the purchase path can therefore differ by destination. If your country is not shown in the product page’s checkout flow, do not assume that changing the account region will transfer a reservation.
A region change is not a queue shortcut. Your status remains associated with the selected regional list, and the relevant destination must be confirmed during checkout. If you move or need a different shipping country, ask Steam Support what options exist rather than canceling first; cancellation releases the place and is not described as reversible.
What you receive with Steam Frame
Valve describes Steam Frame as a wireless VR headset with controllers that supports both VR and non-VR play. It can stream your Steam library and also run in standalone mode. Steam Support says the package includes a plug-and-play 6GHz wireless adapter that provides a dedicated link for VR and non-VR streaming. The headset, adapter, and controllers each have status LEDs, which can help you confirm power and connection state during setup.
Valve lists three first-party accessories as checkout add-ons for customers who receive a purchase email:

Troubleshooting a missing or unexpected status
The page shows no reservation
- Sign out and back in with the Steam account used for the original signup.
- Open the product page in a browser where Steam is not silently using a different account.
- Check whether the signup met the purchase-before-April-27, 2026 eligibility rule and the one-signup-per-household limit.
- Look for the original signup or status email in the account’s email address, including spam and filtered folders.
If the correct account still has no status, use Steam Support. Do not submit a second signup to “repair” the record; a later submission would not preserve the original randomized place. Keep any confirmation details and account information available when contacting support, but never send a password or payment credentials by email.

The page says waitlist
Waitlist is not the same as a failed signup. It means your randomized position was outside the initial reservable inventory. Keep monitoring the account because cancellations or additional units can open places. Valve has not published a total queue size, unit count, or conversion rate, so no reliable public formula can turn a waitlist label into a date.
Your email has not arrived by the displayed month
An expected window is not a guaranteed send date. Recheck the product page while logged in, confirm that the account email is accessible, and inspect spam, promotions, and forwarding rules. If Valve changes the window, the account-specific page is the authoritative place to see the new estimate. Do not rely on social-media posts or another buyer’s date to override your account message.

You missed the 72-hour deadline
Valve’s stated rule is to move to the next person when the 72-hour purchase period expires. Contact Steam Support immediately with the account and email details, but do not assume the reservation can be restored. The safest response is to act before the deadline whenever an invitation arrives.

- Bookmark the official Steam Frame product page rather than relying on third-party queue trackers.
- Once a week, sign in and read the expected window shown on the page.
- Keep the Steam account email usable and add Valve or Steam messages to your safe-sender list without altering the account.
- If you are in the 2027 group, look for Valve’s promised timing update by January 2027.
- When an invitation arrives, record the exact send time and calculate the 72-hour deadline before starting checkout.
There is no benefit to repeatedly canceling and rejoining. Cancellation releases the model-specific place, and changing the model after randomization is not supported. A tracker or browser extension cannot reveal a queue number that Valve does not publish.

For Steam Frame, the useful date is the expected purchase-email window shown after you sign in. “By December 2026” means Valve expects the invitation no later than that month under the current update. “In 2027” means the invitation is expected during that year, with more detail promised by January 2027. Neither label guarantees that the headset will arrive at your door on a particular date.
