The short answer
Both controllers are officially licensed for PlayStation 5 and target competitive players who want more controls than a standard DualSense layout provides. Both work in wired mode and through a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle, and neither provides haptic feedback. The practical choice comes down to control layout, connection options, stick customization, and how you interpret their different battery claims.

How the extra controls differ
SCUF Omega: more input points, but not 11 freely remappable buttons
SCUF and PlayStation describe the Omega as having 28 total inputs, including 11 additional customizable inputs. Those additions are four rear paddles, two side buttons and five G-Keys. That headline number is useful for understanding the hardware, but it should not be read as 11 independently programmable controls in every mode.

Other G-Keys retain fixed functions. The four paddles and side buttons still provide extra ways to reach actions without removing your thumbs from the analog sticks, but your exact assignment options depend on the controller’s mode and current software or firmware support. If you plan a complex layout for a particular game, verify which controls can actually be assigned on PS5 rather than relying on the 28-input total.
#1 Best Overall
The Omega’s layout favors players who want to distribute actions across several fingers. A paddle can take an action normally assigned to a face button, while side buttons or G-Keys can handle other commands. This can be valuable in shooters with jump, crouch, reload and weapon-switch actions, but it also creates a longer familiarization period: more buttons mean more opportunities to press the wrong one until the layout becomes automatic.
Razer Raiju V3 Pro: a focused back-button arrangement
Razer documents four removable, multi-function back buttons that use mouse-click-style actuation. It also adds two claw-grip bumpers near the upper rear area. This gives six extra rear or rear-adjacent controls, but the physical arrangement is different from Omega’s mix of paddles, side buttons and G-Keys.
Mouse-click actuation is a hardware description, not proof of lower latency in a game. It tells you that the buttons use a short, click-like switch design. Whether that feel helps depends on your grip, the pressure you prefer, and whether you can avoid accidental presses while holding the controller tightly.
The back buttons are removable, which lets you change the physical configuration if a particular button interferes with your grip. Razer also supplies button covers. That is a practical advantage for players who want to experiment with the contact points instead of committing to one permanent arrangement.
Connections and platform use
SCUF Omega connection choices
The Omega supports three documented connection methods:
- USB-C wired: connect the controller directly for a cable-based setup.
- 2.4 GHz wireless: use the supplied wireless dongle for a dedicated console connection.
- Bluetooth: SCUF lists compatibility with PS5 consoles, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
Bluetooth is the clearest reason to select Omega over Raiju if you regularly move between a PS5 and non-console devices. It can reduce the number of separate adapters you need, although the exact pairing and supported functions can vary by platform. For competitive PS5 play, both the wired and 2.4 GHz paths are the relevant documented options.

Razer Raiju V3 Pro connection choices
Razer describes wired USB-C and 2.4 GHz dongle operation. Its published connection information does not list Bluetooth. If Bluetooth is a requirement for a phone, tablet or computer, do not assume the wireless dongle is interchangeable with Bluetooth; choose a controller whose documented connection method matches your device.
Razer states 250 Hz wireless polling on PS5 and 2,000 Hz wired polling on PC. Those are specification figures from Razer, not a laboratory comparison against Omega. They indicate the modes Razer is emphasizing, but they do not by themselves prove a lower end-to-end input delay in your game, display, network and console setup.
Stick shape, replacement parts and trigger controls
Omega’s swappable components
SCUF’s FAQ says the Omega’s thumbsticks and faceplates are swappable. That gives you a way to change the contact surface or replace a worn component without replacing the entire controller. The documentation establishes the replacement capability, but it does not establish that the sticks are immune to drift or that one shape is more accurate than another.
Raiju’s TMR sticks and supplied caps
Razer specifies TMR (tunnel magnetoresistance) sticks with replaceable caps and includes alternate caps and button covers. The practical benefit is immediate choice: you can select the supplied cap that best suits your preferred height or surface before buying additional parts.
TMR is a component description, not a guarantee of permanent reliability. Stick wear, calibration, firmware behavior and physical damage can still affect a controller. Treat replaceability as a maintenance advantage, not as proof that drift cannot occur.
Trigger-stop switches
Raiju includes trigger-stop switches. They let you change the trigger’s travel for games where a shorter pull is desirable. A shorter travel can suit rapid-fire or aim actions, while a longer travel may be preferable when a game uses analog trigger range. The available information does not establish a corresponding Omega trigger-stop feature, so choose Raiju if this adjustment is important to your control scheme.

Battery claims: read the numbers correctly
Razer states up to 36 hours of battery life for the Raiju V3 Pro. That is a manufacturer estimate and should be understood as a maximum under Razer’s stated conditions, not a guaranteed runtime for every game, lighting setting or connection mode.
TechRadar’s June 2026 review lists the Omega at around 17 hours. That is review-reported specification context, not a controlled test against the Raiju. The two numbers therefore cannot establish that Raiju will last exactly twice as long in your use. They do support a preference: choose Raiju when longer stated untethered sessions matter, and choose Omega only if its control layout or Bluetooth support is more valuable than the shorter reported figure.
For either controller, keep a USB-C cable available for long sessions and check current firmware guidance. Battery performance can change with wireless mode, charge age and usage, so do not use the headline number as a substitute for a return policy or warranty.

Neither controller offers haptic feedback. If you want the resistance and vibration effects built into games designed around DualSense, these performance controllers are not replacements for that feature set.
Razer’s FAQ additionally says the Raiju cannot wake the PS5 from sleep. You may need to wake the console with its power button, the console’s standard controller, or another supported method before using the Raiju. SCUF’s documentation confirms the Omega’s lack of haptics but the available information does not establish an equivalent wake-from-sleep statement, so check the current Omega guide if that behavior matters to you.
SCUF’s manual documents testing on PS5 CFI-1000, CFI-2000 and CFI-7000 series consoles. Match your console model and the current manual when checking compatibility, especially after firmware or operating-system updates.

Which controller fits common player priorities?
For Warzone, Apex Legends and other competitive shooters
Start with the action layout you actually use. If you want several separate physical locations for jump, crouch, reload, melee and weapon actions, Omega’s paddles, side buttons and G-Keys provide more places to explore. Remember that PS5 remapping limits apply, so map the buttons that the manual allows rather than assuming every G-Key is programmable.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteRaiju suits players who prefer a simpler, concentrated rear layout and click-style buttons. Its trigger stops and alternate stick caps may be more important to your grip than the number of available locations. Neither controller has a documented independent advantage in shooter accuracy or latency, so do not choose on the assumption that one will automatically improve aim.
For mixed PS5, PC and mobile use
Omega is the more flexible choice when Bluetooth matters because SCUF lists PS5, PC, Mac, iOS and Android compatibility alongside wired and 2.4 GHz modes. Raiju is still suitable for PS5 and PC through its documented wired and dongle connections, but the supplied information does not list Bluetooth.
For long sessions away from a cable
Raiju has the stronger stated battery figure: up to 36 hours from Razer. Omega’s approximately 17-hour figure from TechRadar may still cover a normal evening, but it offers less margin for travel or multi-day play without charging. Because the sources and methods differ, treat this as a buying preference rather than a measured head-to-head result.
For players who replace or tune parts
Choose Omega if swappable thumbsticks and faceplates are central to your setup. Choose Raiju if you want alternate stick caps and button covers included in the box, plus removable back buttons and replaceable caps. In both cases, confirm that replacement parts are for the exact model and region before ordering.

A practical decision process
- List the actions you need off the sticks. If you want the maximum number of physical contact points, start with Omega. If four click-style back buttons plus two claw-grip bumpers are enough, include Raiju.
- Check remapping requirements. On Omega, PS5 mode limits G-Key remapping to G1 and G5. Make sure your intended game layout fits that constraint.
- Choose your connection method. Select Omega for documented Bluetooth support. Select either model if USB-C or a 2.4 GHz dongle covers your setup.
- Decide whether trigger stops and supplied caps matter. Those are documented Raiju features. Omega’s documented advantage is its swappable thumbsticks and faceplates.
- Set a realistic battery expectation. Compare Razer’s up-to-36-hour claim with TechRadar’s around-17-hour Omega report, while remembering they are not paired measurements.
- Accept the PS5 feature trade-off. Neither has haptic feedback; Raiju also cannot wake the PS5 from sleep according to Razer.
- Check the live purchase terms. The June 2026 review prices were $219.99 / £209.99 for Omega and $219.99 / £199.99 for Raiju. Verify current local price, stock, return window, warranty and regional model before paying.
What the available testing does—and does not—show
TechRadar reported testing the Omega for roughly two weeks across PS5 and PC. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a controlled comparison with the Raiju. No independent head-to-head benchmark was established for comfort, accuracy, latency, durability or battery life. Manufacturer specifications such as polling rate and battery capacity should therefore remain clearly separated from measured performance claims.
The fairest conclusion is preference-based. Omega is the hardware-flexibility choice: more documented input locations and Bluetooth. Raiju is the focused competitive-control choice: removable click-style back buttons, claw-grip bumpers, trigger stops, supplied alternate caps, and the longer manufacturer battery estimate. Your grip, preferred mappings and devices should decide between them.
