How to Choose Which Banners to Summon on in FAIRY TAIL Wizard Chronicle

Spend a summon ticket only when three conditions are all true: the exact ticket is eligible for the active banner, its featured pool advances a specific account goal, and the banner displays rules you consider acceptable. If eligibility, rates, pity, exchange, expiry, carryover, or your target is unclear, save the ticket until you can verify those details in the live client.

What makes one banner a better choice than another?

FAIRY TAIL Wizard Chronicle is a mobile iOS and Android RPG with more than 80 recruitable characters, ongoing events, and team-composition experimentation. Because several summon banners can be available at once, the newest or most colorful banner is not automatically the best use of a ticket or gems. The useful question is not “Which banner is strongest?” but “Which available banner converts this resource into progress toward my next defined goal under rules I understand?”

A banner is a good destination when its pool contains the character, role, element, or collection target you actually need; the ticket can legally be used there; and the displayed safety net makes the possible result acceptable. A random pull from a large pool may be poor value for an account seeking one specific unit, while a selector or exchange can be worthwhile even when its headline rarity is less exciting.

The installed game’s summon and ticket panels are the authority for volatile mechanics. Public information does not establish universal current rates, pity thresholds, ticket restrictions, expiration dates, carryover rules, or exchange requirements. Do not substitute an old screenshot, another game’s system, or community memory for the text shown on your own screen.

Start by identifying the exact ticket

“A ticket” is not one standardized resource. Two items that look similar may access different pools, expire on different dates, or have different effects on pity and exchange progress. Identify the complete item name before comparing banners.

  1. Open your inventory or the summon screen and select the ticket.
  2. Copy its full name and read every restriction, including rarity, event, featured, selector, character-specific, and valid-until wording.
  3. Open each candidate banner and check whether the ticket is listed as an accepted payment method. A ticket that opens a summon elsewhere is not necessarily valid for this banner.
  4. Record the ticket’s expiration separately from the banner’s end date. Either deadline can determine the correct action.

Classify the item in practical terms:

  • General ticket: may work on a broad standard pool, but only the banner’s eligibility text can confirm that.
  • Event or featured ticket: normally points to a named event or pool; using it outside that destination may be impossible.
  • Limited or rarity-specific ticket: can narrow the rarity or event while leaving the character random.
  • Selector ticket: may let you choose from a stated list. Read the list and its deadline rather than assuming every character is included.
  • Character-specific ticket: is tied to a named unit or exchange and should not be valued like a random pull.

If the item description is incomplete, translated ambiguously, or does not state where it works, treat the destination as unverified and do not spend it to test the system.

Define one account goal before opening the banner

“Getting something good” is too vague to guide a scarce resource. Choose one objective that can be checked against the banner’s pool.

Target a featured character

Use this goal when a particular character is central to your planned team or is a collection priority. Confirm that the unit appears in the current featured list, not merely in promotional art or a general game roster. A featured label still does not guarantee that the unit will appear on one pull.

Repair a roster gap

Identify the role or element your teams lack, such as damage, support, defense, healing, or a required affinity. A banner with several units that solve the same gap can be more useful than one featuring a powerful character who duplicates a role you already cover.

Reach a documented exchange

Some banners may award currency or points that can be exchanged after a stated number of summons. Set the threshold as the goal only when the banner displays the required amount, what the exchange buys, and when the currency expires. Do not count progress that the rules do not explicitly attribute to your ticket.

Build a collection

If your objective is collection rather than immediate team strength, compare the eligible character list and duplicate treatment. A random pool can be reasonable for broad collection progress, but it is still a poor choice when you would be unhappy with most of its outcomes.

#1 Best Overall

Read the live banner details line by line

Open the banner’s details, rates, and exchange panels before committing. Capture the following facts in a note so that a limited-time banner does not force a rushed decision.

  • Featured units and pool: list every featured character and the complete pool if the game provides it.
  • Displayed rarity rates: note the exact percentages and whether they apply per pull, per slot, or to a bundle.
  • Featured rates: determine whether the displayed number is for all featured units together or for each named unit.
  • Guarantee wording: identify what is guaranteed and on which pull. “Guaranteed high rarity” is not the same as “guaranteed featured character.”
  • Exchange currency and threshold: record the currency name, required amount, available choices, and reset or expiry conditions.
  • Duplicate treatment: check whether duplicates become shards, enhancement materials, exchange currency, or nothing useful for your goal.
  • Ticket eligibility: verify the exact ticket name or category accepted by the banner.
  • End date and time: note the displayed time zone if one is shown. A banner closing soon is not, by itself, a reason to pull.
  • Carryover: look for an explicit statement about pity, exchange currency, or points moving to another banner.

If any of these values is absent, label it unknown rather than filling the gap with a remembered number. The absence of a displayed pity threshold means you cannot responsibly plan around a fixed number of tickets.

Check whether the ticket advances pity or exchange progress

A ticket can produce a character without contributing to the banner’s safety net. The summon result and the progress counter are separate systems unless the banner rules connect them.

  1. Read the banner’s pity, mileage, or exchange description.
  2. Find the sentence that defines which summon methods add progress.
  3. Confirm whether the exact ticket type is included, excluded, or not mentioned.
  4. After a test only when the result is acceptable, verify that the progress counter changed by the stated amount.

Do not infer that one ticket equals one pity point, that a multi-summon ticket equals the same progress as paid gems, or that progress carries to a later event. Count only progress the current rules explicitly award. If the ticket is accepted but its contribution is not specified, value it as a standalone random result and ignore hypothetical pity progress.

Compare simultaneous banners on six decision axes

When more than one banner accepts your resource, score each one using the same questions. This prevents a high headline rarity from hiding poor account fit or weak control.

Axis Question to answer What a stronger result looks like
Target fit Does the pool contain the character, role, or element that matches your stated goal? The desired outcome is named in the featured list or exchange choices.
Control Can you select a unit or exchange currency for a known reward, or is every outcome random? A selector or documented exchange reduces unwanted results.
Safety net Are rates, guarantees, and thresholds displayed clearly? You can state what happens at the relevant pull count without guessing.
Ticket compatibility Does this exact ticket work and contribute to the relevant counter? The ticket description and banner rules agree.
Time risk When do the banner, ticket, and exchange currency expire? You have enough time to decide without relying on an undocumented carryover.
Future flexibility Can the ticket or progress be used on later banners? Carryover is explicitly stated; otherwise treat it as unavailable.

There is no universal weighting. A player missing a healer may prioritize target fit, while a collector may prioritize pool breadth. Make the priority explicit before spending so a dramatic animation does not redefine the goal mid-session.

Use a spend-or-save decision rule

Apply the following branches to the exact situation shown in your client:

Rank #3
Fairy Tail Playing Cards

Situation Action Reason
The ticket explicitly works on the banner, the target matters, and the rules are displayed and acceptable. Spend within a pre-set limit. Eligibility, account fit, and risk are all established.
Ticket eligibility is unclear. Save until confirmed. A usable resource could be wasted on an invalid destination.
You have no defined target, or the pool does not solve a roster need. Save. Random results are not progress toward an unspecified objective.
Rates, pity, exchange, expiry, or carryover are missing. Treat the mechanic as unverified and save. You cannot calculate the downside or plan a threshold.
The ticket is expiring, is explicitly valid for this banner, and the possible result is acceptable. Use it before the stated deadline. An explicit deadline is different from a rumor that progress will disappear.

Set the limit before pulling. For example, decide whether you are using one ticket, a fixed number of tickets, or only enough resources to reach a documented exchange. Stop at that limit even if the previous result was disappointing; a near miss does not change the displayed odds.

When to spend gems instead of tickets

Gems are more flexible but usually carry a higher opportunity cost because they can often be saved for a banner that better matches your target. Spend them only after the same eligibility, goal, and rule checks used for tickets.

  • Confirm the gem price of the exact summon and whether a single pull and a bundle have different guarantees.
  • Check whether gem summons and ticket summons share the same pity or exchange counter.
  • Use the displayed threshold only if you can afford the full stated path; do not buy paid gems to chase a threshold that the game has not documented.
  • Do not let a banner’s closing timer create urgency when the expiry or carryover policy is unknown.

Promotional wording also needs careful interpretation. “Free 720 Gacha Pulls” does not, by itself, establish a particular ticket count, banner, rate, or pity counter. It is advertising language, not a complete summon specification.

Resource checks before you pull

Check your inventory and mail for tickets, gems, and event currencies first. Pocket Gamer reported a 2026 redeem code, madochro8888, associated with 3,000 gems, 100 summon tickets, and 500,000 character EXP. Codes are volatile: verify the code and its rewards in the live game before including them in your plan, and do not assume the figures remain available after the reported period.

Keep a simple record containing the ticket name, accepted banners, expiration, target, and any progress counter. This prevents a general ticket from being mistaken for a featured ticket and makes it easier to compare a new banner with one you already evaluated.

Common mistakes and how to correct them

Assuming the newest banner has the best value

Correct this by comparing target fit, control, displayed safety nets, and ticket compatibility. Newness is not a probability or reward category.

Importing a pity number from another game or old screenshot

Use only the threshold currently displayed by the banner. If no threshold is shown, record it as unknown and make no pity-based plan.

Reading a rarity guarantee as a featured guarantee

Separate the guaranteed rarity from the chance that the result is one of the named featured units. Read the guarantee’s exact object and timing.

Assuming every accepted ticket adds pity

Check the progress clause for the exact ticket. Acceptance into a pool does not prove contribution to a counter.

Pulling because the banner is about to close

First verify the ticket’s deadline, the banner’s deadline, and any stated carryover. If those mechanics are undocumented, urgency is not evidence of value.

Buying paid gems to chase an undocumented threshold

Do not spend money to reach a number the game has not published. Wait for a banner with readable terms or use only resources whose loss you already accept.

Worked examples

Example: a needed support character on a documented featured banner

You have a named featured ticket. The banner lists the ticket as eligible, includes a support character your teams lack, displays the featured and rarity rates, and states the exchange threshold and end time. The ticket’s expiry is later than the banner’s end, and the rules say this ticket adds to the exchange counter. Define the support character as the goal, set a pull limit, and spend within it. The decision is justified by matching eligibility, roster need, and readable terms rather than by the banner’s age.

Example: a broad pool with an unclear ticket restriction

Your inventory shows a limited ticket whose description names an event but does not identify the current standard banner. The standard banner has attractive characters, but its details do not mention that ticket category. Save the ticket and seek confirmation in the item and banner text; a desirable pool cannot cure an unverified payment method.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Example: a closing banner with missing carryover information

A banner ends tonight and shows a high-rarity guarantee, but it does not state whether exchange currency or pity moves to the next event. You have no target in its featured list. Save rather than pulling from fear of loss. The closing time matters only after the ticket is confirmed eligible and the outcome fits a defined goal.

Example: a selector versus a random featured pool

You need one specific role. Banner A offers a selector with a stated list that includes the unit; Banner B has a higher displayed rarity but randomizes among many characters and gives no exchange option. If both accept your ticket and have otherwise comparable terms, Banner A provides more control and better alignment with the role goal.

A fast checklist for every summon session

  1. Write the exact ticket or gem payment name.
  2. Write one account goal in concrete terms.
  3. Confirm the target appears in the featured list, eligible pool, or exchange list.
  4. Read rates, guarantees, pity, exchange, duplicate, and expiry text.
  5. Verify whether this payment method advances the relevant counter.
  6. Record banner, ticket, and exchange deadlines.
  7. Choose a spending limit before the animation starts.
  8. Spend only if all required facts are known and the possible result is acceptable; otherwise save.

This process answers “Which banner should I pull on?”, “Should I save my summon tickets?”, “Do tickets count toward pity?”, “Does pity carry over?”, and “When should I spend gems?” without relying on a universal number that the current game client does not publish.
