Claim the free game before the offer ends

Open Epic’s Free Games page and check the current game and its displayed deadline. Offers rotate, so use the live page rather than relying on a game name or date mentioned elsewhere.

Complete the claim flow while the offer is active. Follow the buttons and prompts currently shown on Epic’s page; the exact interface can change.

Epic Games Store Support says a new weekly giveaway is available Thursday at 8 AM PT and can be claimed for seven days. The current offer page’s deadline is the best guide to the cutoff for a particular game. Once claimed, Epic says the game is in your Library even if you do not download it immediately. Its support page describes the claim as making the weekly game “yours permanently,” but Epic’s EULA licenses software rather than selling it and notes that, in rare cases, a title may be removed and become unavailable for further download or access.
Install the game on a PC
If the Epic Games Launcher is not already installed, download it from Epic’s Store website. The Launcher is the documented route for installing the claimed PC game.

Visit Epic’s Store website and click Download in the upper-right corner. The installer should start automatically; if it does not, choose the option for your platform. See Epic’s Launcher download page.

Run the downloaded installer, then open the Epic Games Launcher.

In the Launcher, open Library and select the game you claimed.

Choose where to install it, then click Install.

Wait for the download and installation to finish, then select the game’s icon in the Launcher to start it.

You can choose the installation directory. The official steps do not specify a universal amount of free disk space or a download time, so check the game’s store listing and the Launcher’s prompt before starting a large download.
Check whether your PC can run the game
Epic lists these baseline requirements for its Store and Launcher; they do not guarantee that a particular game will run. Individual games may require more powerful hardware, so check the game’s own system requirements before installing.

These figures are Epic’s Store/Launcher minimums, not the requirements for every game. Epic says PC and Mac availability is global subject to applicable legal restrictions. See its download and system specifications page and the specific game’s listing for details.
If you missed the giveaway or the claim fails
The offer expired
Epic says a promotion is available only for a limited time and the game must be claimed during the stated period. If the deadline has passed, Epic recommends watching for future free promotions and special offers. Do not assume support can add an expired giveaway to your account.
You see an error while claiming
Use Epic’s free-promotion help page to find the relevant redemption-issue guidance. If the error persists after following that guidance, Epic directs players to contact support. The right fix depends on the specific error, so follow the instructions for the message you received rather than applying a generic workaround.

Can Epic tell you which game will be free next?
Not reliably in advance: Epic Games Store Support says, “Player Support doesn’t have advance information about upcoming free games.” Check the official Free Games page when the current offer changes instead of relying on an unconfirmed leak or prediction.
