Identify the material first, then use the sequence below: remove loose dirt, deal with spills immediately, apply a material-specific cleaner only when needed, and let the chair dry completely before sitting down.

Identify your TITAN Evo upholstery before cleaning
Secretlab has sold the TITAN Evo with several upholstery families. They do not tolerate the same products or amount of water, so check your order details, chair documentation or the surface itself before applying anything.

NanoGen and NEO are both water-resistant leatherettes, but “water-resistant” does not mean waterproof. Liquids can still enter seams, perforations or damaged areas. NAPA leather is different: its pores mean a spill should be absorbed immediately rather than left on the surface.

The safe cleaning sequence for every TITAN Evo
1. Prepare the chair and supplies
Move the chair where you can reach the seat, backrest, sides and armrests. If the upholstery is wet, disconnect nearby electronics and keep liquid away from the chair mechanism. Gather a vacuum with a soft brush attachment, clean microfiber cleaning cloths, a dry absorbent cloth or paper towel, and only the cleaner specified for your upholstery.
Test any cleaner on a small, hidden area first. This is especially important for colored fabric, leatherette with a printed finish and specialty materials such as microsuede or Alcantara. Use a fresh cloth for each product so loosened dirt is not spread back over the chair.
2. Remove loose dirt without scratching
Vacuum the upholstery with the soft brush attachment. Work slowly over the seat, backrest, seams and crevices where skin flakes, crumbs and dust collect. The brush prevents the nozzle from dragging directly across leatherette or leather, which can scratch the finish. Do not press hard enough to flatten fabric or pull at a seam.
3. Treat a fresh spill immediately
For leatherette, use a cloth slightly dampened with water and wipe the spill away. Do not pour water onto the chair or leave a wet cloth on the surface. For fabric, press a dry absorbent cloth or paper towel onto the liquid to lift it. Replace the cloth as it becomes wet and continue blotting until no more liquid transfers.
Never rub a fabric stain. Rubbing drives liquid deeper and can spread the mark. Do not use hot water: Secretlab’s aftercare guidance warns that heat can set a fabric stain, making it more difficult to remove.

4. Apply a compatible cleaner only for deeper dirt
For leatherette that remains dirty after a water wipe, use a dedicated leather cleaner. Secretlab’s stated method is to spray a small amount onto a clean microfiber cloth, then gently wipe the leatherette upholstery. Spraying directly onto the chair can over-wet seams and make it harder to control how much product reaches the surface.
For stubborn spots on SoftWeave Plus, put a small amount of dedicated fabric foam cleaner on a clean microfiber cloth and wipe in a circular motion. Use this foam only on the SoftWeave Plus fabric for which it is intended. Do not apply it to leatherette, NAPA leather, microsuede, Alcantara or Dinamica accents unless the product instructions specifically say it is compatible.

5. Air-dry completely
Leave the chair uncovered until the upholstery is fully dry. Do not sit on a damp seat, cover it with a blanket or use concentrated heat to speed drying. Pressure can trap moisture against the foam, while high heat can affect finishes and set remaining fabric discoloration. Once dry, inspect the surface in normal light before deciding whether another gentle pass is necessary.
Cleaning leatherette: NanoGen, NEO and PRIME 2.0
Routine dust and grime
Vacuum first with the soft brush. For fingerprints, skin oils and ordinary dirt, wipe with a clean cloth that is only slightly damp with water. Use light passes rather than aggressive scrubbing, and dry the area with a separate cloth if visible moisture remains.
Deeper cleaning
If a water wipe is not enough, use a dedicated leatherette cleaner. Spray a small amount onto a microfiber cloth, never a large amount directly onto the chair, and gently wipe one section at a time. Turn the cloth to a clean side as it picks up dirt. Keep liquid away from stitching, perforations and adjustment controls. Let the surface air-dry fully.

Stain prevention
These leatherettes are intended to be easy-clean, stain-resistant surfaces, but prompt action still matters. Keep drinks in containers with secure lids, wipe condensation from cups, and deal with food or body oils before they build up. Do not use abrasive pads, stiff brushes or unapproved solvents that can dull or crack the finish.
Cleaning SoftWeave and SoftWeave Plus fabric
Regular maintenance
Vacuum the seat and backrest regularly with a soft brush attachment. Follow the direction of the weave where practical, and take extra care around piping and seams. Regular vacuuming removes loose particles before they are pressed into the fibers by normal use.
Fresh liquid spills
Blot immediately with a dry absorbent cloth or paper towel. Place the cloth over the spill and press straight down; do not scrub back and forth. Continue with dry sections until the transfer is minimal, then allow the fabric to air-dry. Avoid hot water because heat can set the stain.
Stubborn SoftWeave Plus spots
Use a dedicated fabric cleaner such as Premium Deep Cleaning Fabric Foam Cleaner only for stubborn marks on SoftWeave Plus. Apply a small amount to a clean microfiber cloth and wipe in a circular motion. Keep the foam off leatherette, NAPA leather and other upholstery areas. If the spot remains after the fabric is completely dry, stop rather than repeatedly wetting the same area; repeated friction can change the fabric’s texture.
Why fabric needs different expectations
SoftWeave and SoftWeave Plus are more breathable than leatherette, but liquid can enter the fibers and stains can be harder to remove. The goal is fast absorption and minimal agitation, not a soaking wash. A clean, dry surface is safer than trying to flush a stain with large amounts of water.

Cleaning and protecting NAPA genuine leather
Respond to spills immediately
NAPA leather is not water-resistant because its surface pores can absorb liquid. Press a dry absorbent cloth onto a spill as soon as it happens. Once the excess is absorbed, gently wipe the area with a microfiber cloth slightly dampened with water. Do not saturate the leather or leave moisture sitting in the pores.
Remove dust safely
Use the vacuum’s soft brush attachment over the seat, backrest and seams. Avoid a bare nozzle that can drag grit across the finish. For light surface dirt, a gentle microfiber wipe is preferable to vigorous rubbing.
Condition on a schedule
Secretlab’s upholstery-care PDF recommends a high-quality leather conditioner often, or at least once every three months, to keep NAPA leather fresh and supple. Choose a conditioner intended for genuine leather, follow its label directions and test an inconspicuous area first. Apply a thin, even amount rather than saturating the surface, and allow it to absorb and dry before use. Leather conditioner is for NAPA leather; it is not a substitute for leatherette cleaner and should not be assumed safe on fabric or specialty accents.

Keep these materials away from water. For loose dirt, wipe gently with a dry microfiber cloth against the grain. If a spill occurs, blot it promptly with a dry, unprinted absorbent cloth. Printed paper towels can transfer ink to the upholstery.

Apply the smallest practical amount to a cloth, not directly to the chair, and test a hidden spot first. Because these accents can have a directional nap or distinctive texture, avoid circular scrubbing, stiff brushes and repeated passes over one area.

How to wash a TITAN Evo SKINS cover
SKINS must be removed from the TITAN Evo before washing. Do not attempt to launder a cover while it is fitted to the chair, and do not treat the cover as if it were the chair’s underlying upholstery.
- Remove the SKINS cover completely from the chair.
- Close all zippers and turn the cover inside out.
- Machine wash cold on the gentle or delicate cycle.
- Tumble dry on low.
- If needed, iron on low heat. Do not iron decorations.
- Do not dry-clean or bleach the cover.
Secretlab does not recommend using its SoftWeave Plus foam cleaner for most dirt or stains on SKINS. Follow the wash instructions above instead, and reinstall the cover only when it is fully dry.
Protect the upholstery between cleanings
Control the causes of stains
- Use a lidded bottle or mug when drinking at the desk.
- Keep greasy food, sauces and cosmetics away from the armrests and seat.
- Wash or clean hands after eating before using light-colored upholstery.
- Keep pets from scratching leatherette or pulling at fabric seams.
- Place the chair away from direct sources of heat that can dry or stress upholstery finishes.
Set a simple care schedule
- After every spill: blot fabric or wipe leatherette immediately, then air-dry.
- Weekly or as needed: vacuum with the soft brush attachment, concentrating on seams and crevices.
- When ordinary wiping fails: use the approved leatherette or SoftWeave Plus cleaner on the correct material.
- At least every three months for NAPA leather: apply a high-quality genuine-leather conditioner, or condition more often if the chair is heavily used and the product label supports that frequency.
- Whenever SKINS is dirty: remove it and wash it according to the cold, gentle-cycle instructions rather than cleaning it in place.
Common mistakes and how to recover
Using hot water on fabric
Hot water can set a stain. Stop adding heat, blot with a dry absorbent cloth and let the area dry. Once dry, use a compatible fabric cleaner sparingly if the mark remains.
Rubbing a SoftWeave stain
Friction spreads the stain and can alter the fabric’s texture. Switch to straight-down blotting with a clean, dry cloth. Work from the outside edge toward the center only when lifting residue, without scrubbing.
Over-wetting leatherette or NAPA leather
Excess water can enter seams and pores. Remove surface moisture with a dry microfiber cloth, leave the chair uncovered and allow it to air-dry fully. Do not apply conditioner to NAPA leather until the surface is dry.
Spraying cleaner directly onto the chair
Direct spraying makes it easy to over-apply product and wet seams or controls. Put a small amount on a microfiber cloth, then wipe the upholstery. If cleaner reaches a non-compatible panel, stop and remove the residue with the method specified for that panel.
Using the wrong cleaner on the wrong material
SoftWeave Plus foam is for appropriate SoftWeave Plus fabric spots, not leatherette or specialty accents. Leather conditioner is for NAPA genuine leather, not fabric or leatherette. When the material is uncertain, use only dry vacuuming and seek the upholstery’s specific care instructions before introducing moisture.

When a mark will not come out
Stop after a small number of gentle cleaning passes. A persistent mark may be dye transfer, a change in the fabric nap, damage to a coating or a stain that has already set. More liquid, stronger pressure or household solvents can enlarge the affected area. Photograph the condition, note the upholstery type and contact Secretlab support for material-specific guidance if the chair is within its support or warranty period.
