Before you go: bring four Wires
The generator repair consumes four Wires, which are in-game materials. Bring them from your stash before deploying if you can. PC Gamer recommends putting them in a safe pocket to reduce the chance of losing them if you need to make another run. You may be able to salvage Wires nearby, but that is less reliable than arriving with the full amount.

Find the Generator Hall
Deploy to Dam Battlegrounds and head for the Generator Hall, beside the northeast Power Generation Complex and near the North Complex Elevator extraction area. From the elevator area, travel southwest to the open trench and drop down to the walkway and room below. Another described approach is to use a surface hole or stairwell near the extraction area; choose whichever entrance you encounter safely.

- Enter the Generator Hall and look between the two large generators.
- Find the yellow-marked repair point and interact with it.
- Spend the four Wires to complete the repair objective.
Reach the Ventilation Shaft
From the Generator Hall, follow the service route:
- Take the door on the southeast side of the hall and go up the stairs.
- Open the next door, turn left, then continue to the door at the end of the corridor.
- Enter the Ventilation Shaft and look in the corner beneath the stairs.
Activate the switch
Interact with the yellow-marked switch box beneath the stairs in the Ventilation Shaft. This completes the quest objective sequence.

Approach risks and completion details
PC Gamer notes that a Rocketeer may patrol the area, so avoid lingering in exposed spots while checking the map or searching for the entrance. The available walkthroughs confirm that activating the switch completes the objectives, but do not establish whether extraction is required for quest credit. They also give conflicting reward information, so no particular reward should be treated as confirmed here.
