For the Execution Order contract, enter Imperial Testing Station No. 197, defeat the bandits and their ringleader, then call the issuer through the contract menu. You do not need to retrieve the Minimic Film for this contract: that belongs to a separate Planetologist: Advanced objective at the station.
Where is Imperial Testing Station No. 197?
References disagree about the station’s region. The community wiki and Game8 place it in Western Vermillius Gap, while PC Gamer’s Planetologist guide describes it in the southeastern mountain range of Eastern Vermillius Gap. Game8’s page was unavailable to verify directly, so its location detail is lower-confidence. Use your active in-game map or contract marker, and confirm the destination says Imperial Testing Station No. 197 before setting out.

The current Execution Order listing is for game version 1.5.3.6 and was updated October 6, 2026. Contract markers and objectives in your current game should take precedence if they differ from older guides.
How to complete the Execution Order contract
- Pick up or track Execution Order. Follow its active marker to Imperial Testing Station No. 197.
- Enter the station and clear the bandits. The contract description gives an estimate of about 20 hostiles, not a guaranteed enemy count for every run.
- Eliminate the ringleader. Do this after clearing the other hostiles.
- Call in the contract. Use the contract menu to contact the issuer, CHOAM Private Security Division, and complete the reporting objective.
An older contract listing says to report at the board in Anvil Trading Post in Vermillius Gap. Because the current listing instructs players to call the issuer through the contract menu, follow the objective shown in your active contract.

Execution Order and Buried Archives are different objectives
Imperial Testing Station No. 197 is also associated with Planetologist: Advanced and its Buried Archives objective. That is a separate quest, not an extra step for Execution Order.
Buried Archives: retrieve the Minimic Film
- Find the Planetologist at the bottom of the station and accept the quest.
- Follow the station’s loop of corridors and locate the green armband.
- Search the adjacent room for the Minimic Film.
- Return to Derek, then follow him back to camp.
The film retrieval and return to Derek are not listed as Execution Order requirements. The available guide describes Buried Archives as Planetologist progression and does not establish a complete reward list for that objective.
