Mega Dimension adds postgame story content, but the official information available does not provide a complete Hyperspace Pokédex checklist or capture and evolution instructions for every entry. Finish Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s main story to begin the expansion, then explore Hyperspace Lumiose through spatial distortions. The Pokémon named on the official DLC pages are confirmed featured content—not a full Pokédex roster.
What you need to do before starting Mega Dimension
Complete the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A first. The Pokémon Company says the DLC’s additional story can be experienced after the base game’s main story is complete: official Mega Dimension page.
The expansion takes place in Hyperspace Lumiose, reached through spatial distortions appearing in Lumiose City. The official trailer describes this dimension as home to Pokémon not found in regular Lumiose. Its Pokémon may also have levels that push their total above level 100, as stated in the official November 2025 trailer.
Can you check off every Hyperspace Pokédex entry?
Not from the official information currently available here. Official DLC pages establish a set of featured Pokémon, but do not publish a complete numbered Hyperspace Pokédex or the capture and evolution method for every entry. A Nintendo Life guide lists entries and details, but its December 17, 2025 text says it was still being updated; it is not an authoritative final count.

Treat these as confirmed featured names, not as the full Hyperspace Pokédex. No official total for the complete Pokédex is established by the sources cited here.
How to get Mega Garchomp Z
Mega Garchomp Z has a specific event encounter sequence. The official instructions require claiming the Mystery Gift and completing at least one hyperspace adventure; defeating Mega Garchomp Z rewards Garchompite Z. Follow the instructions on the official Mega Garchomp Z page. Event availability and gift mechanics can be time-sensitive, so check that page for current terms before setting out.

Which version and purchase option fit?
Mega Dimension is compatible with Pokémon Legends: Z-A and the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Nintendo’s support information says the base game must also be on the console where the DLC virtual game card is loaded. The Pokémon Company lists the DLC through Nintendo eShop, My Nintendo Store, and participating retailers; see the official DLC page and Nintendo support for platform and loading details.
If you do not yet own the base game, Nintendo announced a physical Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension bundle for October 29, 2026, with both on one game card. That date is the announced release date, not confirmation that the bundle is already available; check the official Nintendo announcement and retailer listings for current availability.
