The core sequence is consistent across older walkthroughs, but the task system changed in the 2026 Spearhead update, so use the live task panel and map marker—not old coordinates or reward lists—as your final authority.
How to complete Lost and Found
- Check the task panel. Accept Lost and Found from Lab Rat if it is available. Older guides say it follows Meds Wanted; one also lists three starter tasks as prerequisites. Since task progression was redesigned in 2026, treat those older requirements as historical rather than guaranteed current rules.
- Follow the active objective marker. Use the faction and marker shown on your current map to reach the construction shop. Historical coordinates are listed below as a cross-check only.
- Search the construction-shop building. Look for Kanoa Sinarath’s body in the small building near the Lumberyard/construction shop, then search it and take the medallion. Guides vary on the precise entrance and room description, so prioritize the objective area and search the body rather than relying on a particular doorway.
- Hand over the medallion. Return to Lab Rat and use the available task hand-in interaction, then select Complete. If your live interface offers a hand-in at a Combat Outpost, follow that prompt; available sources do not establish whether this specific task supports outpost turn-in.
Historical coordinates by faction
May 2024 guides reported the following grid locations. These are old guide data, not confirmed current coordinates after the task-system redesign. Check your live map marker before travelling.
| Faction | Starting town | Historical grid coordinate |
|---|---|---|
| Mithras Security Systems | Nam Thaven | 172, 119 |
| Crimson Shield International | Kiu Vongsa | 141, 161 |
| Lamang Recovery Initiative | Pha Lang | 200, 162 |
A task tracker also lists 141, 161 without the same faction breakdown. This difference is another reason to treat the in-game marker as definitive.
What changed in the 2026 task system?
MADFINGER Games’ March 31, 2026 Spearhead release notes describe a redesigned task system, more than 100 new tasks and contracts, and over 50 updated tasks. The notes say most tasks are replayable except Starter Town tasks. Official June 25, 2026 patch notes state that Starter Town tasks cannot be shared. Those broad changes do not document a Lost and Found-specific change, but they do mean older prerequisites, coordinates, hand-in options, and rewards should not be assumed to match the live version.

Rewards: historical figures only
Destructoid’s 2024 guide listed $2,700, 400 XP, 100 Lab Rat reputation, and one 6/6 SurKit; Prima Games reported the same list. A separate November 2024 guide listed 200 Lab Rat reputation instead, so the older reputation figures conflict. The official update notes cited above do not state a current reward for this task. Check the live task panel for the reward in your version.
