For your character, use the avatar editor to adjust eligible accessories, then save the outfit. The same general customization features are described for the game, but the official guidance cited here does not map every control separately for PC and mobile.
Customize a pet’s wear
- Open the pet’s interaction window. Interact with your pet; the official Pet Needs Revamp Release Notes describe tapping the pet to open this window.
- Choose dress-up. This opens the pet-wear customization view.
- Select the arrow above a pet-wear item. Use the available controls to scale the item, move it along the X, Y, and Z axes, and rotate it. Each item has adjustment limits, so some placements or angles may not be possible.
Adopt Me’s March 6, 2026 Pet Wear & Avatar Editor Notes describe the editor as a way to correct small fit issues, not to freely reposition wear without limits.
Adjust your character’s accessories
Switch from pet editing to the avatar editor to adjust eligible character accessories. The editor supports accessory adjustments, but it does not adjust clothing or hair; the update says, “You won’t be able to alter clothing or hair, just like Roblox’s Avatar Editor!”
- Switch to the avatar editing view.
- Select an eligible accessory and use its adjustment controls to refine its size, position, or rotation.
- Save the avatar outfit. The official update warns that accessory edits will be lost if you do not save the outfit.
What differs between pet and character editing?

PC and mobile controls: what is confirmed
The official instructions establish the customization features but do not give a complete PC-versus-mobile control map for the editor. The pet notes describe tapping the pet to open its interaction window, but that alone does not establish every touch input or PC pointer action for each screen. Likewise, the June 7, 2024 Profile & Quality of Life Improvements note says PC players can use keyboard keys for hotbar items; it does not document keyboard controls for pet or avatar customization. Follow the controls shown in your current game interface rather than assuming all inputs are identical across platforms.
