Where to find Moonflower Tower
Travel to Sakurajima Island and look for Moonflower Tower near -597, 205. These are approximate coordinates reported by GamesOMG, so use them as a map reference rather than an exact entrance marker. The tower’s boss encounter is Saya and Selyne.
GamesOMG’s tower guide identifies the location and pairing; Siliconera’s June 2024 guide describes the pairing’s introduction with the Sakurajima update.
Prepare without relying on an outdated level check
This is a high-level fight, but there is no verified current level threshold that guarantees readiness. Siliconera’s June 2024 guide recommended Dragon Pals at level 50 or higher. Treat that as historical advice, not an official requirement or assurance of success: Palworld 1.0 launched on July 9, 2026, and Pocketpair says the update rebalanced Pal stats and abilities.

- Build a developed party. Bring Pals that can deal useful damage and remain effective through a demanding encounter, rather than relying on a single underprepared attacker.
- Include Dragon-type attacks. Guides describe Selyne as Dark type and recommend Dragon damage against it. That makes Dragon attacks a sensible offensive focus, not proof that one particular Pal or party is best.
- Check your own readiness. Make sure your equipment and party are appropriate for a high-level tower fight. The available guides do not establish a definitive best-in-slot party or a current minimum equipment specification.
Pocketpair’s official Steam listing gives the 1.0 release date. Its 1.0 announcement notes the balance changes and a cherry-blossom visual update to the Sakurajima Tower Boss battle; those effects do not establish a new combat strategy.
How to handle the fight
Keep moving and avoid attacks
Movement is the safest general approach supported by the guides: stay alert, reposition when threats approach, and avoid standing still to trade damage. The sources do not establish a dependable attack sequence, timing exploit, or guaranteed dodge pattern, so react to what the bosses do in your current fight rather than memorizing an unverified script.

Use Dragon damage against Selyne
Prioritize Dragon-type attacks when targeting Selyne, which the guides identify as Dark type and weak to Dragon. GamesOMG also labels the encounter with Dark/Neutral typing, so the guides are not fully consistent about type descriptions. Dragon damage against Selyne is the shared practical recommendation; do not infer an additional weakness for Saya from that advice.
Adapt instead of forcing a fixed build
Use the party and equipment you have prepared, watch how the encounter unfolds, and adjust your movement and targeting when pressure changes. No cited guide establishes a universally optimal lineup or a current-version tactic that guarantees a win.

What changed since the early guides
The boss guides date from June 2024 or, in GamesOMG’s case, are reported as updated in August 2026. The date alone does not confirm which combat details were retested after Palworld 1.0. Pocketpair’s 1.0 announcement explicitly says Pal stats and abilities were rebalanced, so older level and build recommendations should be treated as reference points rather than current requirements.
