Learn to wait out the delayed shots after its horn swing, then be ready for the quick final strike in its trumpet combo. Aim at the center of its body and keep recovery items available.
Where to find the Chromatic Troubadour
The encounter is in Flying Waters – Lumieran Streets. From the nearby Expedition Flag, follow the left wall to a set of handholds. Climb up, continue past the Cruler, and use the grapple point to travel around the building; then descend toward the boss. The route is described by landmarks rather than map coordinates. How to read its attacks
Tricky Trumpet: horn swing followed by delayed shots
The Troubadour swings its horn, then fires energy shots that arrive shortly afterward. Do not treat the swing as the moment the whole attack is over: watch for the projectiles and time your defense for when they land.

Trumpet Concerto: two blows, then a fast swing
It blows its trumpet twice before making a quick swing. The last swing is the difficult timing check, so stay alert through the entire sequence rather than relaxing after the trumpet notes. The walkthrough does not give frame counts or platform-specific timing windows; learn the rhythm from the animation and your own attempts.

How to beat the fight
- Watch a full attack sequence before committing. Track the energy shots after the horn swing, and remain ready for the fast strike at the end of Trumpet Concerto.
- Aim for the center of its body. The walkthrough identifies the center as the weak point.
- Use recovery items if a mistake costs you an ally. The guide recommends keeping items ready to recover from missed timings.
- Adjust your preparation to your needs. The encounter advice emphasizes timing and observation, not a mandatory character lineup, level, or loadout. If you would rather have more healing capacity, return later; no specific level requirement is established.
A wiki search-result summary reports that the boss is weak to Light and resists Dark, but the page itself was unavailable for verification. Treat that matchup as tentative and check it in-game rather than planning around it as a confirmed weakness.
