Keep your distance, bait The Fury’s corridor charge, and attack while he recovers. You can defeat him by draining either his health with lethal weapons or his stamina with non-lethal weapons; Gameranx’s Delta-specific guide reports an extra reward for winning non-lethally.
Choose lethal or non-lethal damage
Decide which kind of run you want before the encounter gets underway. Lethal weapons deplete The Fury’s health; non-lethal weapons deplete his stamina. The guide says either bar can end the fight, and associates the non-lethal victory with an extra reward. It does not specify the reward in the cited encounter advice.

How to fight The Fury safely
Remove your weapon suppressor
Stealth is not needed in this arena, so remove the suppressor to avoid using its durability unnecessarily. Then focus on positioning and openings rather than trying to stay hidden.

Stay out of flamethrower range
Do not close to point-blank range: The Fury can answer with a large burst of flame. The fight takes place in dark underground hallways, and fire can linger on surfaces and limit where you can move. If Snake catches fire, roll on the ground to extinguish it.

Use the charge as your main opening
Watch The Fury when he reaches a hallway’s far end. He can fly down the corridor engulfing it in flames, and he can also pass overhead while raining fire. Before a fast hallway charge, he crouches and counts down. Move out of the charge’s path or interrupt it if you can; once it ends, attack during his recovery animation.
Put out lingering hallway fires
Look above the corridor for a red pipe and shoot it to release water onto the fire below. The water can clear the flames from the floor, but avoid standing directly beneath the pipe if you do not want Snake soaked.

Keep attacking through the suit’s protection
Do not rely on an early headshot to end the encounter. The guide says The Fury’s suit limits early damage and makes stun grenades less effective. Continue dealing damage, use safe recovery windows, and adjust once the suit is reported damaged.
Controls and platform context
This advice is for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Konami’s remake of the 2004 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Konami lists the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC/Steam, with a choice of modern or classic control styles. Because the layout can depend on platform and control style, use your own on-screen prompts rather than relying on a platform-specific button sequence.
