If you only want to remove one limit, keep the accounts linked and change that specific setting instead; Roblox does not document a single global “disable all” switch.
Choose between unlinking and changing one setting
Unlinking ends the linked parent’s ability to manage the child’s controls. Changing an individual control leaves the account link in place, so the parent can continue managing other settings. Roblox offers separate controls for content maturity, blocked or allowed games, private servers, friends, spending, and screen time.

How to unlink the parent account
- Sign in to the Roblox account with parent privileges that is linked to the child’s account.
- Open Settings. On desktop, select the gear in the upper-right corner. In the mobile app, select More in the lower-right corner, then Settings.
- Open Parental Controls and select the child account.
- Select the pencil icon in the upper-right corner.
- Choose Unlink accounts, then select Unlink to confirm.
Roblox says the parent can no longer manage that child’s parental controls after unlinking. See Roblox’s instructions for linking a child’s account for the unlink path.
How to relax one restriction and keep parental access
From the linked parent account, go to Settings > Parental Controls, select the child, and open the relevant control. Roblox’s available settings cover content maturity, blocked or allowed games, private servers, friends, spending, and screen time.

Change content maturity
Select the child account, then open Settings you manage > Content restrictions > Content maturity and choose the appropriate maturity level. Roblox explains the levels in its Content Maturity FAQ.
Change a screen-time limit
Select the child account in Parental Controls, then go to Screen time > Manage > Screen time limit and choose a daily limit. Roblox says users aged 13 or older can manage their own screen-time limits under Privacy & content restrictions > Screen time. See Roblox’s screen-time instructions.

How age and region affect parental controls
Roblox says that, starting at age 13, some account settings move to the child, while linked parents retain selected controls and insights. At age 18, the account is automatically unlinked from the parent. Default settings and feature availability may vary by region, so the controls shown for one account may differ from another. Details are in Roblox’s guidance on what changes as a child or teen gets older.

Roblox says Parent PIN was replaced by parent privileges. Parents now link their own Roblox account to the child’s account to manage controls from their own device, so older instructions about removing or resetting a Parent PIN may not match the current process. See Roblox’s Parent PIN information.
