Canvas’s official landing page does not currently document the exact in-game download and upload controls, so the steps below distinguish what is established from community-reported guidance. Check the current game UI for the labels and supported creation types in your version.

First, identify whether you want a Canvas creation or a mod

The official Canvas landing page describes exploring works by inZOI AR Company members, but it does not establish the current upload/download controls, account requirements, supported creation types, or visibility options. Community posts mention avatars, rooms, buildings, face presets, and outfits; confirm what your game currently supports in Canvas before relying on that list. Canvas; community discussion

Community discussions report that players browse Canvas and download creations through an in-game browser. Because the official Canvas page does not document the current interface, treat this as the general route rather than a guaranteed set of button names:
- Open the Canvas or creation-sharing area from the game’s current UI.
- Browse or search for a creation, then open its details and review any listed requirements.
- Use the on-screen download control, if available for that creation.
- Return to the relevant in-game studio or customization screen and look for the creation in the appropriate category.
Community users describe Canvas as covering several kinds of creations, but supported types and exact placement can change. Follow the category and instructions shown in your game rather than moving downloaded files into a mod folder.
If a downloaded Canvas creation is missing
- Check its requirements. A community response to a missing-creation question suggests that the item may require other content, including mods. This is a troubleshooting lead, not an official guarantee. Community troubleshooting discussion
- Check the custom category. The same discussion recommends looking under a custom category rather than assuming the item will appear among the game’s default options. The category name and location may vary by creation type or game version.
- Confirm you downloaded the right kind of content. A Canvas creation and a ModKit mod use different systems; Canvas content should not be sought in the ModKit’s local mod directory.
- Recheck the in-game listing and current UI. The official Canvas page does not provide a documented recovery procedure for failed downloads or missing items.
Upload or share a creation through Canvas
Canvas is the service intended for creation sharing, but the official landing page does not specify the present upload sequence. Community discussions report that sharing is handled through the in-game browser. Open Canvas in game and follow the controls shown there to select and submit a supported creation; verify the current supported types and any visibility choices in the interface itself.

A community thread reports that account registration is used for cloud sharing and that creators can choose private or shared visibility. Those details are not confirmed by the current official Canvas page, so do not assume that account or privacy options are available in every version. Community discussion
If you mean a ModKit mod instead
The ModKit is a separate tool for making and packaging mods. Official guidance says it is available free through the Epic Games Store; ordinary Canvas browsing does not require it. ModKit on Epic Games Store
Publish a mod through CurseForge
- Create a CurseForge account, then open the ModKit and go to UCC → Sign In.
- Choose UCC → Share UGC, then select Create Mod.
- Select the project’s
.modfile and complete the listing details, such as the name, class/category, summary, and description. A logo or page URL is optional. - Confirm package generation and submit the listing for moderation. Wait for approval before expecting it to appear for players.
- In inZOI, open Mods, choose the mod, install it, and enable it under Installed Mods. Return to the lobby.
- Check the appropriate studio for the ModKit icon, which the official guide describes as an installation-success indicator in Character Studio or Build Studio.
These steps are for ModKit mods published through CurseForge, not for Canvas creations. Official CurseForge instructions
Package a mod locally
- In the ModKit, choose Create Local Mod Package.
- Select This PC > Documents > inZOI > Mods as the destination and confirm the packaging notice.
- Wait for the Packaging successful message, then launch the game and verify the item in the appropriate studio. The guide’s example checks created furniture in Build Studio, so use the studio relevant to your mod.
If packaging fails, check that required assets—such as the mesh, material, or texture—are assigned to the project. Official local-package instructions

The official ModKit guidance documents CurseForge and the local package location for mods. Older community posts discuss manual ~mods folders and other file locations, but those reports are not a reliable reason to move Canvas downloads or bypass the documented ModKit workflow.
