To end a pregnancy in The Sims 4, save your game, open the cheat console, and enter sims.remove_all_buffs pregnancy_in_labor. EA lists this command in its pregnancy guide. The guide is in German, and EA’s English cheat FAQ does not list this command, so EA’s published instructions do not establish that it works identically on every platform or game patch.
Use the pregnancy cancellation cheat
- Save your game. This lets you return to the previous state if the result is not what you wanted.
- Open the cheat console. On PC or Mac, press Ctrl + Shift + C. On PlayStation or Xbox, hold all four shoulder buttons. EA documents these controls in its cheat FAQ.
- On console, enable Live Mode cheats if required. Enter
testingcheats trueand press Enter. EA warns that cheats requiring this setting disable achievements and trophies in the current console save. The available instructions do not confirm that this pregnancy command specifically requires it. - Enter the pregnancy command. Type
sims.remove_all_buffs pregnancy_in_laborexactly, then press Enter. EA’s pregnancy guide lists it to cancel a pregnancy.
Can you end a pregnancy with a mod?
An EA Forums reply describes using the third-party MC Command Center (MCCC): click the Sim, open MCCC/Pregnancy, then choose the option to end the pregnancy. This is community advice, not an official EA feature or current compatibility guarantee. The forum post is several years old, so check the mod creator’s current documentation and confirm compatibility with your game version before installing or relying on it: EA Forums discussion.

Prevent future pregnancies in Create a Sim
For future pregnancies, EA’s Create-a-Sim guide documents a Pregnancy setting with three choices: a Sim can become pregnant, get other Sims pregnant, or neither.
