To join a Splatoon 3 Salmon Run tournament, open its event overview in Tournament Manager through SplatNet 3 in the Nintendo Switch App, select Enter Tournament, and complete the required team roster before registration closes. Nintendo’s Golden Egg Feast 2026 is one available example: it is scheduled for November 7, 2026, and registration is open until 9:30 a.m. PT that day. Its eligibility is limited by location and age, so check the event rules before entering.
How do I join a Salmon Run tournament?
Start with an event announcement or a Tournament Manager event page, then enter through the overview in SplatNet 3. Playing Salmon Run on its own does not register you for a separate competition; you must follow that tournament’s entry instructions.

- Open the event overview. Use the organizer’s event URL or select the event in Tournament Manager within SplatNet 3 in the Nintendo Switch App. Read the event’s region and age requirements, start time, registration deadline, division options, scoring rules, schedule, and any organizer-specific conditions before you commit.
- Select Enter Tournament. Choose an available division and create a team name or select an existing team. The entrant who creates the team becomes its captain.
- Invite any needed teammates. If the division requires more entrants, send teammates the team invitation link or invite them directly. Invitees must select Join. Make sure the division reaches its required roster by the registration deadline; Nintendo warns that teams that are short of the required entrant count at that point are disqualified.
- Play from the tournament room. When the competition begins, go to the Friends menu in the Grizzco lobby and enter the Tournament Manager room. Complete shifts in that room, then use Tournament Manager to check rankings and results.
The event overview is the authority for the competition’s schedule and instructions. Some formats have preliminaries and a later finals period; others may not. Follow the listed schedule rather than assuming the same round structure applies to every tournament. Nintendo’s Salmon Run participant instructions explain registration, team invitations, and entering the tournament room.
What should I do if I am joining someone else’s team?
Ask the captain for the tournament’s invitation link or direct invitation, then open it through the Nintendo Switch App and choose Join. Joining a normal Salmon Run session or adding someone as a Switch friend is not the same as joining the registered tournament team. Confirm that you joined the correct division and that your name appears on the team before the cutoff.

What Salmon Run tournament can I enter now?
Nintendo’s Golden Egg Feast 2026 is scheduled for November 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon PT. Registration opened October 26 at 9 a.m. PT and closes November 7 at 9:30 a.m. PT, according to Nintendo’s event announcement. Those are dates for this specific 2026 event, not evidence of a recurring annual tournament. Recheck the event page for any updates, especially after November 7, because the registration window and competition date are fixed to this edition.
The event offers four divisions: Solo, Pair, Trio, and Team. You do not have to arrive with a full group: Tournament Manager fills shifts for smaller entries with other players. Still, select the division that matches the roster you can complete and make sure your entry meets its requirements by the cutoff. A solo entry is not permission to switch divisions later if the event has closed registration.

A registration confirmation is not a substitute for checking in at the displayed start time.
Who is eligible for Golden Egg Feast?
For this event, Nintendo’s rules require eligible participants to reside in the United States, including Washington, D.C., Canada, or Mexico, and to be physically in one of those territories while participating. Minimum age is 13 in the United States and Canada and 18 in Mexico. Those restrictions are specific to Golden Egg Feast; a community tournament may set different eligibility rules.
Participants need a qualifying Nintendo Switch system, Splatoon 3, a Nintendo Account, reliable internet access, the Nintendo Switch App, and a Nintendo Switch Online membership. The official rules permit a qualifying trial membership for this event. The console and game must be available to you during the event; having an account alone is not enough. Review the full Golden Egg Feast 2026 rules for the applicable terms and eligibility details.

What does entering cost?
The published event information does not establish a general entry fee for Salmon Run tournaments. Golden Egg Feast requires access to a Switch, Splatoon 3, the app, internet service, and Nintendo Switch Online, but the rules do not turn those prerequisites into a separate tournament entry charge. A qualifying trial Nintendo Switch Online membership is allowed for this event. Community organizers can set different fees or venue conditions, so check the actual registration page instead of assuming that every tournament is free.

How does Golden Egg Feast score shifts?
Nintendo describes Golden Egg Feast as a 120-minute, finals-only event using Top Score rules. The scoring objective is the most Golden Eggs across four shifts, plus the most scale points in one shift; players may complete multiple shifts during the tournament period. The rules deduct 30 points for a defeat in wave one, 10 points for a defeat in wave two, and 5 points for a defeat in wave three.
If entries tie, Nintendo’s published tiebreak order is Golden Eggs, then Power Eggs, then overall speed, then entry number. That means a team should not focus only on Golden Eggs if its total could be tied: Power Eggs and completion speed can decide the result. Keep the event’s exact scoring display available while playing, because the tournament room—not an ordinary Salmon Run results screen—is where the registered competition is recorded.
The stage, supplied weapons, and King Salmonid are to be revealed in Tournament Manager within one week of the event. Check the event page for those details rather than relying on guesses or assumptions based on other Salmon Run sessions. Do not treat a normal rotation, a previous Big Run stage, or a practice shift as confirmation of the tournament setup.

That figure is Nintendo’s estimate for this event’s prizes, not a cash prize pool, a guaranteed payment to each winner, or a general statistic about tournament payouts.
How can I find other Salmon Run competitions?
Use Nintendo announcements and Tournament Manager as starting points, then verify details with the organizer. For a community event, check that the Salmon Run portion is actually open for registration, rather than assuming a past event page or a general competition announcement still represents an upcoming opportunity.
Tournament Manager events may not all appear in search. Nintendo’s organizer instructions say the event director chooses whether an event is searchable; events with a combined participant cap of eight or fewer cannot select that display option. An event missing from search may still be available through an invitation link. If you have found an announcement but cannot locate its event listing, check the organizer’s current page for the entry link or instructions.
One past example shows why checking dates matters: SeaBATTLE! Royale advertised a Salmon Run tournament and a start.gg registration page for an event on April 4, 2026. That date has passed, so it is an example of a discovery route—not a current competition to join. No comprehensive, independently verified calendar of open community Salmon Run tournaments is established here. Nintendo’s organizer instructions explain event visibility and search settings.

How should I compare two real events?
Compare the actual event terms, not just the game mode or tournament name. These details determine whether an event is a practical fit:
- Eligibility: Confirm location, physical-presence, age, account, console, game, app, and online-membership requirements.
- Format and roster: Check whether Solo, Pair, Trio, or Team entries are offered, and how many entrants your chosen division needs by the deadline.
- Timing: Note the registration cutoff, local start time, event duration, and any preliminary or finals schedule. Do not treat a time listed in PT as a local time elsewhere.
- Online or venue location: Determine whether the event is played online through Tournament Manager or requires attendance at a physical venue. A community announcement may mention both activities but accept entries only for one.
- Scoring: Look for the number of shifts counted, whether the event uses all shifts or a best-score format, and any deductions or tiebreakers.
- Permitted shifts: Confirm whether the rules count a specified number of shifts, every shift during a window, or a single best result. Do not assume that playing more shifts always improves a score.
- Organizer rules: Review any additional entry conditions, venue requirements, communication rules, or costs the event actually states. Do not assume the rules of one tournament apply to another.
A past start.gg page can help you locate an organizer, but it cannot prove that registration is open now. Look for a current date, an active registration control, and a stated cutoff. If those are missing, contact the organizer rather than relying on an old social post.
Does Tournament Manager work the same way for every Salmon Run event?
No. Tournament Manager supports Salmon Run tournaments using Regular Jobs and Big Runs, but the director chooses the event format and scoring method. Nintendo documents three scoring methods: a total for a specified number of shifts, a total for all shifts, and Top Score. Golden Egg Feast’s four-shift Top Score setup is one event’s rules, not a universal tournament standard.
A specified-number-of-shifts event may require exactly the listed number of attempts. An all-shifts event can evaluate every eligible shift in the tournament window. A Top Score event may use a best result or another defined combination, such as Golden Egg Feast’s Golden Egg and scale-point objectives. Read how the organizer defines an eligible shift, whether failed runs count, and how ties are handled.
The distinction between a game mode and a registered competition matters here. Tournament Manager can score shifts during Regular Jobs and Big Runs, but simply playing either mode does not mean you have entered a tournament. Use the event overview and its instructions to register and access the competition room. Nintendo’s Salmon Run tournament rules describe the available scoring formats and tournament requirements.
There is also a minimum-viability issue for divisions: Nintendo says a division with fewer than two entered teams is canceled. A complete player roster therefore does not guarantee that a division will run; the event must also attract enough teams under its rules. Check how the organizer handles a canceled division, including whether it offers another division or a different result process.
What if I do not have a full team?
Look for a Solo, Pair, or Trio division before recruiting a full squad. Golden Egg Feast offers all four roster sizes, and Tournament Manager fills shifts for smaller entries with other players, so a one-player entry can participate without assembling four people in advance.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
For another organizer’s tournament, do not assume the same arrangement. Check that event’s division list and team-filling rules, then use the organizer’s permitted invitation or teammate-finding route. A division requiring a larger entry can disqualify a team that has not reached its required size by the registration cutoff.
Recommended Free Tools
If you do have teammates, agree on the captain before creating the entry. The captain controls the team invitation process, while each invitee must actively join. Confirm everyone is entering the same division and using the Nintendo Account intended for competition. Last-minute roster changes can be impossible after registration closes.
Why might I not see an event in Tournament Manager search?
Search visibility is optional for many event directors, and small events with a combined participant cap of eight or fewer cannot choose the searchable setting. Look for an invitation link on the organizer’s current announcement or event page before concluding that the competition is unavailable. An old event listing, however, is not proof that registration remains open.
Search can also fail when you are looking in the wrong Nintendo Switch App account, when the organizer has not published the event yet, or when registration has closed. Use the organizer’s URL if one is supplied, compare the event title and region, and read the overview rather than relying on a search snippet.

For Golden Egg Feast, the rules identify a qualifying Nintendo Switch system, Splatoon 3, a Nintendo Account, reliable internet, the Nintendo Switch App, and Nintendo Switch Online as requirements. The Nintendo Switch Online requirement may be met with a qualifying trial for this event. You do not need to buy special equipment to gain a scoring advantage.

1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsAmiibo, a gaming headset, a gaming chair, streaming software, a PC utility, or prize merchandise is not listed as an entry requirement. These items may be personal preferences, but they should not be presented as necessary steps. If an organizer requires voice chat, a particular communication service, or a venue setup, that condition must come from that organizer’s own rules.
Common mistakes that can invalidate an entry
- Confusing ordinary play with registration: Playing a Big Run or Regular Job outside the tournament room does not enter its score.
- Missing the roster cutoff: A team that has not reached the division’s required entrant count by the deadline can be disqualified.
- Using the wrong lobby: Salmon Run competitors enter through the Tournament Manager room in the Friends menu of the Grizzco lobby; general Private Battle tournament directions describe a different mode.
- Ignoring regional rules: Residence, physical location, and minimum age can all matter, particularly for Nintendo’s North American event.
- Assuming every event has the same format: Shift limits, scoring, deductions, preliminaries, finals, and tiebreakers are organizer-selected.
- Relying on stale listings: A past start.gg page or social announcement is a lead, not proof of an upcoming event.
- Forgetting the second-team requirement: Nintendo can cancel a division with fewer than two entered teams even when one team has completed its roster.

Can someone in Australia or New Zealand enter Golden Egg Feast 2026?
Nintendo’s rules limit this event to eligible residents of the United States, Canada, or Mexico who are physically in those territories while participating. That does not determine whether a separate community event accepts Australian or New Zealand players; check that organizer’s terms.
Can I join someone else’s Salmon Run team?
Yes, when the captain or organizer provides a valid team invitation. Open the invitation, select Join, and verify that your name appears on the correct division before registration closes.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Do I need four players to enter?
Not for Golden Egg Feast 2026. Its Solo, Pair, Trio, and Team divisions support one through four entrants, and Tournament Manager can fill shifts for smaller entries. Other tournaments may require a different roster.
Does a team have to pay to enter?
The event information cited here does not establish a general entry fee for Salmon Run tournaments. Check the specific organizer’s registration page and rules for any stated costs.
What happens if my division has only one team?
Nintendo’s Salmon Run tournament rules say a division with fewer than two entered teams is canceled. A complete roster alone does not guarantee that the division will run.
Can I enter a community tournament if Nintendo’s event has ended?
Yes, if a community organizer is accepting entries and you satisfy its rules; Nintendo’s Golden Egg Feast is a separate event. Confirm the date and registration status directly on the organizer’s current event page.
Is playing Big Run the same as entering a tournament?
No. Tournament Manager can score Regular Jobs and Big Runs, but you must register for the specific event and play through its Tournament Manager room for the competition to count.
Where do I play once the tournament starts?
Open the Friends menu in the Grizzco lobby and enter the Tournament Manager room. Follow the event overview for its schedule, shifts, preliminaries, and finals.
Why can’t I find a tournament in search?
The director may have chosen not to make it searchable, and events with a combined participant cap of eight or fewer cannot choose that setting. Use the organizer’s invitation link or current event page instead.
The Bottom Line
Find a current event, open its Tournament Manager overview, check eligibility and scoring, select the right division, finish the roster before the cutoff, and play from the Tournament Manager room. Golden Egg Feast 2026 is scheduled for November 7, but its North American eligibility and date-specific rules do not apply automatically to community tournaments.
