The bridge extends when both are powered. Be ready for enemies to cross once the route opens.
Extend the refinery bridge with both fuses
- Find and collect the first fuse. Carry it through the spinning fan using Tactical Time Dilation.
- Insert the fuse into its power console.
- Collect the second fuse and carry it through the other spinning fan with Tactical Time Dilation.
- Install it in the other power console. Once both consoles are powered, the bridge extends.
- Prepare for enemies to cross the bridge and engage you.
The available walkthroughs establish this sequence but do not provide verified room-by-room directions to each fuse. No specific skill threshold is established.

If the encounter does not progress after the bridge extends
Check for remaining snipers and defeat them. Obsidian’s version 1.0.5.0 patch notes documented a progression fix for the Refinery encounter: after the bridge extends, killing the remaining snipers should complete the encounter and advance the quest. That note records behavior for that version; it does not establish how every later build or platform behaves.

The Outer Worlds 2 has other bridge sequences that use different mechanics. The Paradise Island quest For Whom The Bridge Tolls is about gaining passage across the Bridge of the Reverent; it is not the two-fuse refinery puzzle. A separate late-game route has a missing bridge with a lever and a jump alternative. If your quest or location does not match the refinery and Fiends in High Places, these fuse steps may not apply.
