To find a Sentinel Interceptor, travel to a system marked Dissonant, locate a corrupted planet, and use an Echo Locator to find a Harmonic Camp. Its terminal can mark a crashed Interceptor. You must then complete the wreck’s repair steps and claim the ship; finding it alone does not add it to your fleet.
Find a Dissonant system and corrupted planet
- Open the Galaxy Map and look for a system labeled Dissonant. An independent guide says an Economy Scanner is needed to reveal that label; if it is not visible in your map, check the scanner requirement in your current game.
- Travel to the system and scan its planets. Look for a planet identified as having Corrupted Sentinels. Hello Games describes corrupted worlds as places where crashed Interceptors and new structures can be found.
Hello Games’ Interceptor update says, “Explore the secrets of these strange worlds to locate a crash site, and undertake a new mission to install a Pilot Interface, melding your mind with that of the ship and adding it to your fleet.”
Use an Echo Locator to find a crashed Interceptor
Get an Echo Locator
On a corrupted planet, look for a Dissonance Resonator—an extraction machine—and destroy it. An independent guide reports that it can yield either an Echo Locator or an Inverted Mirror. The Mirror is also useful during the wreck-repair process. Corrupted Sentinel enemies may be nearby, so be prepared for combat.
Locate a Harmonic Camp
- Activate the Echo Locator and travel to the Harmonic Camp it marks.
- At the camp, interact with the terminal and solve the puzzle it displays.
- Choose the terminal option to locate a crashed ship. The guide says this marks a Dissonance Spike, which leads to a crashed Interceptor.
- Travel to the marked site and inspect the wreck to begin its repair mission.
Repair and claim the ship
The wreck is not ready to fly when you arrive. Follow its repair mission and gather the required components. The independent guide lists Radiant Shards, an Inverted Mirror, and a Harmonic Brain among the requirements. The wreck provides a Hyaline Brain, which you take to a Monolith to convert before returning to the ship. Follow the active mission’s displayed requirements, since item behavior can change with game updates.

Return to the wreck, build the Pilot Interface, and complete the claim step to add the Interceptor to your fleet. If you do not want that particular find, the guide also describes salvaging it instead.
Other ways to locate a crash site
Hello Games says crashed Interceptors can be found through several routes, including destroying a Sentinel capital ship, completing a bespoke story encounter, defeating corrupted planetary Sentinel forces, or visiting abandoned encampments. An independent guide describes using a Carrier AI Fragment obtained through the Sentinel Capital Ship route to locate a crash site.
