For A Bad Feeling, find and search any ARC Probe or Courier Husk. On Dam Battlegrounds, scan the reported areas below rather than expecting a guaranteed spawn, and use black smoke—and a Probe’s repeating beep—to help locate one. If you find a target, search it to complete the objective.
What you need to do for A Bad Feeling
The objective is to find and search an ARC Probe or Courier Husk; either target works. The community-maintained ARC Raiders Hub quest reference lists the rewards as 10 Metal Parts, 5 Steel Spring, and 5 Duct Tape.
Where to look on Dam Battlegrounds
These are guide-reported search areas, not fixed spawn points. Sweep the surrounding ground and nearby slopes rather than checking only one exact spot.
ARC Couriers
- Just outside the west wall of Electrical Substation.
- Near the road junction between Electrical Substation and Water Treatment.
- On the slope south of Research & Administration.
- At South Swamp Outpost.
- On the hills south of Research & Administration, east of Small Creek.
- Beside the road at West Broken Bridge, on the route toward Hydroponic Dome Complex.
- Red Lakes, on the eastern side of the map, is another area where a GameSpot guide writer reported finding Couriers; treat this as anecdotal advice.
ARC Probes
- Around the center of Power Generation Complex.
- Around the center of Hydroponic Dome Complex.
- On the hills south of Research & Administration, east of Small Creek.
- At South Swamp Outpost, near the Field Depot.
PC Gamer’s reported Dam Battlegrounds locations offer several Courier search areas, while Probe locations are described as more randomized. Neither guide provides an official spawn table or guarantees that a target will appear at a particular spot.

How to recognize a Probe or Courier
- Probe: missile-like, often lodged in the ground or crashed on its side. It can beep repeatedly; the sound is easier to hear as you get closer.
- Courier: larger and boxier than a Probe.
- Both: may produce thick black smoke that can be visible from a distance.
When searching, pause to listen for the repeating beep and look across the terrain for smoke. A Probe can arrive during a match, so an area that was empty earlier may be worth checking again.
When map conditions may help
GameSpot’s January 7, 2026 guide associates greater Probe availability with the Electromagnetic Storm condition and the Prospecting Probes event. It recommends checking the Testing Annex roof during an Electromagnetic Storm. Its guide also says Prospecting Probes can make Probes plentiful on eligible maps and does not occur on Stella Montis. These are guide-reported mechanics, not a guarantee of a spawn; check the current in-game map condition and event, since live-service behavior can change.

Which target should you search?
For the quest, choose whichever one you locate first: either completes the same objective. A Probe has the extra audio clue, while the reported Courier areas give you several locations to scan. The loot differs, but neither target guarantees a particular item.
| Target | Useful clue | Guide-reported loot possibilities |
|---|---|---|
| ARC Probe | Repeating beep as well as smoke | ARC Alloy, ARC Circuitry, and ARC Motion Cores |
| ARC Courier | Larger, boxier shape and smoke | Surveyor Vaults and Sentinel Firing Cores |
The loot possibilities and the differences above are reported by GameSpot; they are not guaranteed drops.

Stay alert when breaching the Husk
Searching either type of Husk can sometimes trigger ARC enemies, including Hornets or Wasps, according to GameSpot. Before opening one, check the immediate area and be ready to respond if enemies appear.

Community map listings on ARC Raiders Hub show one Probe and one Courier marker for Spaceport, and nine Probe markers and one Courier marker for The Blue Gate. These are community database markers, not proof that those targets will spawn in a live match. For the A Bad Feeling objective, any Probe or Courier Husk you can find and search is suitable.
