Use Roblox’s shooter categories
- Open Roblox and go to the Shooter or First-Person Shooter discovery page.
- Scan the experience title, creator name, thumbnail and current player information. Live activity and update dates are only snapshots and can change quickly.
- Open the official details page for any candidate. Check the genre, maturity label, violence descriptors, supported devices and current description before starting.
- Select Play on the experience landing page. Roblox Creator Hub documentation describes published experiences as having a landing page with a Play button; creators can also share the direct landing-page URL.

Which Roblox game is closest to the style I want?
Choose by match structure and pace rather than by the word “shooter” in a title. Arsenal is the quickest entry point, RIVALS is built around compact competitive duels, FRONTLINES presents a more conventional FPS, and TTK Testing emphasizes tactical movement and a developing squad concept.
Arsenal: the fastest first stop
ROLVe describes Arsenal as a “Fast paced arcade shooter” with a “pick up and play” format. In its standard gun-game mode, each elimination or assist awards a new weapon; the player who gets an elimination with the golden knife wins. That weapon progression makes Arsenal a strong fit when “Counter-Strike-style” means immediate FPS action or a recognizable gun-game loop.
Arsenal is not a one-to-one Counter-Strike replacement. Its defining mechanic is forced weapon switching after eliminations, not buying equipment during a round, managing an economy or executing classic bomb-site objectives. ROLVe says the experience released in 2016 and received a rehaul update in 2018. The official Roblox description calls RIVALS a first-person shooter with 1v1-to-5v5 duels. The first player or team to five wins. FRONTLINES: a more conventional FPS presentation
The official FRONTLINES page classifies the experience as a Shooter and marks it Moderate, with light realistic blood and repeated moderate-violence descriptors. A retrieved page snapshot showed a 14-player server size and active status. Its description calls it “The classic FPS experience that redefined Roblox.”
Pick FRONTLINES when you care more about a traditional first-person-shooter presentation than about Arsenal’s weapon progression. The page’s update date appeared as September 5, 2026 in one snapshot and October 18, 2026 in another. That difference illustrates why update dates, server activity and other live-status details must be checked on the current Roblox page rather than treated as permanent specifications.
TTK Testing: tactical movement and a developing squad direction
TTK Testing is the strongest researched option for players who mean tactical movement, careful positioning and squad mechanics rather than simply “a Roblox game with guns.” Its official description lists PvP modes and an intended direction that includes co-op PvE squad AI, story-based door-kicker scenarios, hostage rescues and team-based PvP.

The experience lists controls for firing, aiming, crouching, leaning and weapon swapping, and supports PC, mobile, Xbox and PS5. It is marked Moderate, with light realistic blood and repeated moderate-violence descriptors. Separate the stated direction from what is currently playable: the description presents the PvE and story features as an intended or evolving part of the project, not a guarantee that every mode is live in every update.
What should I check before pressing Play?
The details page answers practical questions that search results cannot. Confirm the creator, content label, device support and current description before joining, especially when playing from a child account or a less common platform.
Creator and title

How do I start a Roblox FPS game step by step?

Return to the details page and read any age, region or account message. Confirm that the account has completed any required age check and that parental restrictions do not block the experience. If the title still does not appear, search by its exact name and creator.
The game opens but controls feel wrong

The game stutters or looks poor
Lower Roblox’s graphics quality, close other demanding applications and use a supported device. Performance depends on the device, connection, server and current game update; the available material does not establish a universal frame-rate or performance result for any of these experiences.
A server feels empty
Check the live experience page for current activity and server information, then try another server or return at a busier time. Activity indicators are snapshots, not a permanent popularity guarantee.
