If Ubisoft says your age is invalid, first check where the message appears. A wrong birthdate on an existing account needs a correction request to Ubisoft Support; a child account requires a parent or guardian to complete Ubisoft’s consent process; and a Store age prompt may only be a visit-specific check. Enter the player’s real birthdate and do not try to bypass an age restriction.
First, identify which age problem you have
Ubisoft may request age verification when someone creates an account or tries to access age-restricted content or certain features. Requirements can vary by country. The location of the message helps determine the right next step. Ubisoft’s age-verification guidance describes these possible checks.
| Where the message appears | What it may mean | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| During account creation | Ubisoft is checking whether the player meets the applicable age requirements. | Enter the actual birthdate. If creating an account for a child, follow the parent or guardian setup and consent process. |
| On an existing account | The birthdate recorded on the account may be wrong, or Ubisoft may be requesting age verification. | If the stored birthdate is inaccurate, contact Ubisoft Support to request a correction. If a verification prompt appears, follow its instructions. |
| Ubisoft Store | The Store may be asking for an age confirmation or restricting access to age-restricted content. | Complete the Store prompt. A Store prompt does not by itself show that the birthdate on your account is wrong. |
| Ubisoft Connect, a game, or chat settings | An age check may apply to particular content or features. | Follow the prompt and use the correct account details. Requirements vary by country. |
Fix the issue based on your situation
Check your account details
Make sure you entered the player’s real date of birth and that the account’s country or region is accurate. Ubisoft says birthdate helps it check whether someone is authorized to access its services. Ubisoft’s Privacy Notice explains its use of personal information. Changing a device or platform setting is not established as a way to change the birthdate Ubisoft has on record.
For a child account, complete the parent or guardian flow
Ubisoft’s child-account setup requires the child’s details, including their birthdate, and a parent or guardian’s email address. The adult then signs in to or creates a Ubisoft account and completes the consent steps. In some countries, Ubisoft may require the adult to verify their age using a credit card or ID. Parents can manage protective settings through Family Center. Follow Ubisoft’s child-account setup guide for the process.

If the birthdate on an existing account is wrong, contact Ubisoft Support
Ask Support to correct the inaccurate account information. Ubisoft’s Privacy Notice describes a right to rectify personal data and directs users to Support for privacy-rights requests. Some account details are also available from the Ubisoft account page, but the exact correction workflow and response time are not stated in the available guidance. Read the Privacy Notice or use Ubisoft Help to contact Support.
Do not enter a false birthdate or create another account to get around an age restriction. Ubisoft’s Terms of Use say that age verification may be required to create an account or access certain games and features, depending on the country of residence; access can also be restricted on age grounds, and some minors need consent.

If the prompt is only in the Store
Ubisoft’s Store guidance says a logged-out visitor may be asked to confirm their age once per visit. Age-restricted content may be blurred, restricted, or removed from the cart. Treat this Store prompt as separate from an incorrect birthdate on an existing account. See Ubisoft’s Store age-verification guidance.
If age verification fails
Follow the instructions shown in Ubisoft’s verification prompt and consult its age-verification guidance. Ubisoft references Yoti for information about the verification process, local compliance, and data security. The guidance does not establish a universal fallback or a fix for every error code, so avoid assuming that clearing a cache, using a VPN, or changing platform settings will resolve the problem.
