Use Windows servicing commands and Microsoft-hosted installers instead. The official DirectX End-User Runtime installs the legacy side-by-side components that older programs may require; it does not ask you to replace a protected Windows file by hand. - When DISM reports completion, close the prompt only after the command has returned to a prompt. Restart Windows.

How do I run System File Checker after DISM?
System File Checker (SFC) checks protected Windows files and replaces damaged copies with versions from the repaired component store. Run it after DISM, not before, so the store SFC relies on has already been serviced.
- Open Command Prompt as administrator again.
- Run:
sfc /scannow - Wait until verification reaches 100 percent. Keep the computer powered on and avoid closing the console during the scan.

Should I install the DirectX End-User Runtime?
Yes, when the affected program is older and Windows repair succeeds but the program still requests D3DCompiler_47.dll.
