If Delta Force keeps crashing on PS5, start with updates and a full restart, then check whether the problem happens at launch or during play. PlayStation’s general troubleshooting guidance recommends reinstalling only after simpler checks; a crash limited to Delta Force should also be reported to the game’s support team. There is no verified one-step fix for every PS5 crash.
Start with the symptom: launch failure or crash during play?
The timing helps narrow the next step. If the game will not open, focus first on whether its download and installation finished and where it is installed. If it launches but freezes or closes during a match, update and restart first, then check whether other online games or services have the same problem.
- Before launch or while loading: verify installation, restart the PS5, and check storage location.
- During a match: check for updates, restart the game and console, and compare with other online games and services.
- Only Delta Force is affected: check official game channels and contact Delta Force customer service about a possible known issue.
These are general PlayStation troubleshooting steps, not a guaranteed Delta Force-specific cure. PlayStation’s game-freeze and crash guidance recommends updating, testing other online services, and contacting the publisher when one game alone is affected.
Update the game and PS5, then restart both
- Check the game: highlight Delta Force on the PS5 home screen, press the Options button, and select Check for Update. Install any available update.
- Check PS5 system software: open Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings and install an available update.
- Restart the game: close it fully, then launch it again. Delta Force’s April 24, 2026 system-update note specifically tells players to restart the game after an update if issues occur.
- Restart the console: open the PS5 control center with the PS button, select Power > Restart PS5, and test the game again.
Delta Force’s April 24, 2026 system update notice says it “Fixed several issues that could cause the game to crash.” That describes fixes included in that update; it does not establish that every crash, or a current PS5-specific problem, is resolved.

If Delta Force will not launch, check installation and storage
Confirm the installation finished
For a digital game, make sure the download and installation have completed rather than trying to start it while content is still being installed. If it is still downloading, let that process finish before testing again.
Move it off USB extended storage if necessary
If the game is installed on USB extended storage and fails to start, move it to PS5 internal storage and try again. PlayStation’s game-launch troubleshooting guide specifically recommends this for launch problems; it is not evidence that moving storage fixes every crash during a match.

Restore licenses for a launch problem
If the game does not start, PlayStation also lists restoring licenses among its launch troubleshooting steps. On PS5, go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses, select Restore, then test the game again.
Check whether the existing save state is involved
PlayStation suggests testing a fresh start to see whether the existing save state may be involved. If the game offers a way to begin without using the current save, try that as a diagnostic; do not delete your only save to run this test. If you are considering removing saved data, first confirm what is backed up and whether you can restore it. A reinstall should not be treated as proof that local data is safe.

Reinstall only after the simpler checks
If updates, restarts, installation checks, and the relevant storage or license steps do not help, delete Delta Force and download it again. PlayStation recommends using a wired connection if possible when re-downloading. Before deleting anything, check your saved-data and backup situation; the available guidance does not establish that every player’s local save setup will be preserved automatically.
Use Safe Mode only for persistent launch trouble
When a game still will not start after the preceding launch steps, PlayStation’s launch guide includes Clear Cache and Rebuild Database in Safe Mode. Follow PlayStation’s current Safe Mode instructions carefully and select only the intended option. These procedures are presented for persistent launch problems, not as a proven solution for every mid-match crash.

Work out whether the issue is the game, console, or connection
Try another online game and another online service. If they work normally and only Delta Force crashes or freezes, check the game’s official channels for maintenance, updates, or known issues, then contact Delta Force customer service. The official news listing includes a September 18, 2026 technical-support guide covering crashes, black screens, downloads, and disconnects; its listing advises checking official channels and contacting customer service if the problem continues. If multiple games or online services also fail, investigate the broader PS5 or network connection and use PlayStation’s crash-support guidance to choose the appropriate support route. When you contact either support team, include the error code, when the crash occurs, what you were doing, steps that reproduce it, and a screenshot or video if available.

Leave a console reset as a last resort
A console reset is not a routine fix for one game crashing. PlayStation warns that resetting erases data saved on console storage and advises backing up data first. Consider a reset or system-software reinstall only as a last, support-led step after less destructive troubleshooting.
