The setting is under Graphics and On-Demand Texture Streaming. Guides published during the 2024 reports described this as the main workaround; it is not a newly verified fix for every current occurrence.
Change Allocated Texture Cache Size
- Open Settings in MW3 or Warzone and select Graphics.
- Find On-Demand Texture Streaming. Expand its additional options; some reported menus show a Show More control.
- Set Allocated Texture Cache Size to Small, then leave Settings. Game8 reported that the Call of Duty Updates account advised using Medium or Small, so Medium is an alternative if Small is unavailable or you want to try the other suggested setting. Menu labels and options can vary by game version. Game8 and Destructoid covered the setting during the 2024 reports.
- Relaunch the game and try the mode that triggered the error. Destructoid’s author reported that the change cleared the error in a Zombies session, but that is an individual account, not a guarantee for every player.
If the error continues
Restart the console

Check for a game update and current status
Check whether an MW3 or Warzone update is available, then consult current official Call of Duty support or update channels for the status of the error. ONE Esports discussed a possible connection to an update file, and Game8 reported an announced update addressing the 2024 issue. Those are historical reports; they do not establish whether the error is active, resolved, or recurring today. ONE Esports
Reinstall only as a last resort

What the reports do—and do not—show
The guides describe Dev Error 5433 reports around MW3 seasonal updates in 2024. At that time, reports associated the issue with access to Multiplayer and, in some accounts, Zombies; several noted PlayStation players. Those observations are time-bound and do not show that the error is exclusive to PlayStation or that the same incident is occurring now. The sources converge on lowering the texture cache setting, but they do not establish a technical root cause or confirm that the workaround succeeds for every player.
