EASendMailObj.dll is the runtime library for the EASendMail ActiveX Object. If Windows reports that it is missing, cannot load, or cannot register, the dependable fix is to restore it from the official EASendMail installation, select the copy that matches the application’s 32-bit or 64-bit process, and register that component only when the application uses COM registration. Do not replace it with an arbitrary file from a generic DLL-download site.
The correct repair depends on what launches the component. ASP, VBScript, VBA, and SQL stored procedures should use the EASendMail installer, which installs and registers both architectures. A conventional executable can normally keep the DLL beside the application and use application-local or registration-free COM deployment.

What is EASendMailObj.dll, and why does Windows need it?
EASendMailObj.dll belongs to the EASendMail ActiveX Object. It supplies the runtime code that an application uses when it calls EASendMail functionality. The file is normally deployed as part of an EASendMail installation rather than as a stand-alone Windows component.
A missing-file message means the caller cannot find the library at the location expected by its installation or deployment method. A load failure can also mean that the DLL exists but its architecture does not match the process that is trying to load it. A registration error points to the COM setup stage, permissions, the selected file, or the registration utility being used.

These messages do not all describe the same fault. Record the exact wording, the program that displays it, and whether that program is 32-bit or 64-bit before changing files. That information prevents the common mistake of “repairing” a 32-bit application with the 64-bit runtime, or registering a copy that the application never uses.
What usually causes an EASendMailObj.dll error?
- The supported installation is incomplete. EASendMailObj.dll may be absent because EASendMail was removed, partially installed, or copied without all of its runtime files.
- The caller and DLL use different architectures. A 32-bit process needs the x86 runtime; a 64-bit process needs the x64 runtime.
- COM registration is missing or damaged. Applications that create the ActiveX Object through COM may fail until the correct DLL is registered.
- The wrong registration utility or command was used. Regsvr32 must be run with the architecture-appropriate DLL and, on current Windows versions, from an elevated Command Prompt.
- A random replacement was copied into the system. A DLL from an unrelated download site may be the wrong build or a tampered file, and can destabilize the application or operating system.
- The deployment model does not match the application. A standard executable can use an application-local or registration-free deployment, while ASP, VBScript, VBA, and SQL stored procedures should use the vendor installer.
How do I identify the exact failure before changing anything?
- Copy the complete error text. Note whether it says “not found,” “failed to load,” “cannot register,” or “missing or corrupt.” Keep the punctuation and the program name.
- Identify the caller. Determine whether the failure comes from an ASP site, a VBScript, a VBA macro, a SQL stored procedure, or a normal Windows executable. The supported deployment method differs between these cases.
- Determine process architecture. Establish whether the calling application is 32-bit or 64-bit. The process architecture, not the edition of Windows, decides which EASendMailObj.dll is appropriate.
- Check the installation location. Look in the EASendMail installation rather than searching the entire drive for an unrelated copy. The documented runtime locations are shown below.
Do not delete a working copy or overwrite a system location while you are still diagnosing the caller. If the application recently moved to another computer or drive, treat the issue as a deployment problem first.

Which EASendMailObj.dll file should I use?
The EASendMail installation supplies separate native runtime files. Choose the file that matches the process that loads it:
| Calling process | Correct runtime | Documented location inside the installation |
|---|---|---|
| 32-bit application | x86 EASendMailObj.dll | Installation PathLibnativex86EASendMailObj.dll |
| 64-bit application | x64 EASendMailObj.dll | Installation PathLibnativex64EASendMailObj.dll |
“Installation Path” means the folder chosen for EASendMail on that computer. Do not infer the correct file from whether Windows itself is 64-bit: 64-bit Windows can run a 32-bit application, and that application still requires the x86 runtime.
If you cannot determine the caller’s architecture, check the application’s own documentation or deployment settings before registering anything. For a service, script host, database process, or web application, the host process is the caller whose bitness matters.

How do I restore EASendMailObj.dll with the supported installer?
ASP, VBScript, VBA, and SQL stored procedures
For these callers, use the official EASendMail installer rather than manually copying one DLL. The installer is the supported route for installing and registering both the x86 and x64 runtime files. This avoids leaving one architecture absent when different hosts use the component later.
- Close the application, script host, database tool, or administration console that reports the error.
- Run the EASendMail installer supplied for your product edition.
- Allow the installation to complete so both native runtime directories are populated and the COM registration step runs.
- Reopen the original host and repeat the action that produced the error.
If the installer reports an error, save that message and verify that you have permission to install software. Do not “complete” the repair by downloading a replacement DLL from a generic site.
Standard Windows executables
A conventional executable may deploy EASendMailObj.dll with the application and load it from the application-local directory. The vendor also documents registration-free COM for this deployment model. Follow the application’s deployment instructions and keep the x86 or x64 file beside the executable that uses it.
Do not register an application-local component merely because a website suggested it. Registration can be unnecessary for a registration-free or application-local deployment, and adding a machine-wide registration may make troubleshooting harder if several applications use different EASendMail versions.
How do I register EASendMailObj.dll with Regsvr32?
Register the component only when the application requires COM registration. Use an elevated Command Prompt and provide the complete path to the architecture-appropriate DLL:

Regsvr32 "C:pathtoEASendMailObj.dll"
- Open the Start menu and type Command Prompt.
- Right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator. Approve the User Account Control prompt.
- Replace
C:pathtoEASendMailObj.dllwith the actual path under the EASendMail installation. - Run the command and read the result. A successful registration message should appear before you close the window.
- Launch the original application and repeat the failed operation.
On Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and later versions, the EASendMail deployment documentation states that you must open the DOS command prompt with “run as administrator”; otherwise, Regsvr32 will fail. The same elevation practice remains appropriate on current Windows releases.
What if Regsvr32 still fails?
- Recheck the path. A typo, a moved installation, or a quoted path that does not point to the DLL will produce a failure unrelated to the component itself.
- Recheck architecture. Confirm that the file is under
nativex86for a 32-bit caller ornativex64for a 64-bit caller. - Recheck the Regsvr32 architecture. Windows provides architecture-specific registration utilities. The utility used must be able to register the DLL architecture you selected.
- Confirm elevation. Close the window and reopen Command Prompt with Run as administrator; an ordinary prompt may not have permission to write COM registration.
- Confirm the deployment model. A standard executable may be intended to use registration-free COM, in which case registration is not the remedy. Use the application’s documented deployment method instead.
- Use the installer again if the file is incomplete. For ASP, VBScript, VBA, and SQL stored procedures, reinstalling EASendMail is preferable to registering a manually sourced copy.
Do not repeatedly register different copies from different folders. First establish which file the caller is supposed to load, then register that one if registration is actually required.
Where should I put EASendMailObj.dll for a normal executable?
For a standard executable, deploy EASendMailObj.dll with the application using the vendor’s application-local or registration-free COM instructions. The file should come from the EASendMail installation and should match the executable’s process architecture. A 32-bit program therefore receives the x86 file, while a 64-bit program receives the x64 file.
This approach is different from installing a component for every script, web host, or database process on the computer. Keep the application’s deployment files together, avoid an untracked copy in a random Windows folder, and document which architecture was shipped. If the executable was moved to another computer, repeat the supported deployment rather than copying only the file that happened to be missing.

Restore the supported EASendMail installation first. If the original installer is unavailable, obtain the proper installer or runtime package from the EASendMail supplier for the product you are deploying. Verify the caller architecture and deployment instructions before placing any file. The goal is not merely to make the error dialog disappear; it is to restore the component and its registration or application-local configuration as a matched set.
What should I do after reinstalling or registering the DLL?
- Close and reopen the original application or host so it loads the repaired deployment from a clean start.
- Repeat the exact operation that raised the error, such as opening the page, running the script, executing the stored procedure, or launching the executable.
- Check whether the message has changed. A missing-file error that becomes a registration or load error indicates progress but points to a remaining architecture or COM issue.
- If the same message remains, compare the caller architecture, the DLL path, and the Regsvr32 command character for character.
- If the installer or registration process failed, use Windows Update and reinstall the supported EASendMail package before trying an unrelated DLL.
Keep the original error text and the path you used. Those details distinguish a missing deployment from a registration problem if you need assistance from the application vendor.
Which deployment method fits my application?
| Situation | Supported approach | Main check |
|---|---|---|
| ASP, VBScript, VBA, or SQL stored procedure | Install EASendMail so both DLL architectures are installed and registered. | Installer completion and COM registration. |
| Standard executable | Deploy EASendMailObj.dll with the application or use registration-free COM. | Caller architecture and application-local path. |
The table is a decision point, not a suggestion to mix methods. Installing and registering both architectures is appropriate for the script and database hosts documented by the vendor. An executable that was designed for application-local or registration-free COM should remain isolated to that deployment model.

1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsWhat mistakes should I avoid during the repair?
- Do not copy an x64 DLL into a 32-bit application directory, or an x86 DLL into a 64-bit application directory.
- Do not run Regsvr32 from a normal, non-elevated prompt when the installation requires registration.
- Do not assume that a 64-bit edition of Windows means every caller is 64-bit.
- Do not register a random copy simply because its filename matches.
- Do not remove other EASendMail files while trying to repair one missing DLL; the installer may need the complete runtime set.
- Do not force registration for an executable that is documented to use registration-free COM.
- Do not treat a successful Regsvr32 message as proof that the application is using that file; retest the original caller and operation.

Frequently asked questions
Is EASendMailObj.dll safe?
The file is an expected runtime component when it comes from a legitimate EASendMail installation. Safety cannot be established from the filename alone, so avoid generic download sites and use the supported installer or the runtime files supplied with your application.
Does reinstalling Windows fix this DLL error?
Reinstalling Windows is not the normal first response to a missing EASendMail runtime. Restore the EASendMail installation, select the correct architecture, and repair COM registration or application-local deployment first.

Why can one program work while another reports the DLL is missing?
Different programs can use different process architectures or deployment models. One may have its own application-local copy, while another expects a registered x86 or x64 component, so a working installation in one folder does not prove that every caller is configured.
Should I restart the computer after registration?
A restart is not the key repair step. First close and reopen the calling application so it reloads the component, then repeat the failed operation; preserve the exact message if the problem continues.
What information should I give support if the repair fails?
Provide the complete error text, the name of the calling application or host, whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit, the EASendMail installation path, and the exact Regsvr32 command used. Those details let support distinguish a missing file, an architecture mismatch, and a registration or permission failure.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can a missing EASendMailObj.dll prevent an application from starting?
Yes. If the program loads the EASendMail ActiveX Object during startup, Windows may stop the launch before the program displays its normal interface. Restoring the supported runtime and matching the caller’s architecture addresses that loading stage.
Is EASendMailObj.dll included in every Windows installation?
No. It is an EASendMail runtime file, not a standard Windows component. It should be supplied by the EASendMail installation or by the application’s supported deployment package.

Yes. The EASendMail installation documents separate native folders for each architecture, and script or database hosts may need both. The important rule is that each caller loads the copy matching its own process architecture.
What does a changed error message after registration mean?
It often means the command reached a different stage of loading. Recheck the selected DLL, the caller’s bitness, and whether the application is supposed to use machine-wide COM registration or registration-free deployment.
