Start by identifying the app, API, operating system, and complete message that produced 10104. How do I fix error 10104 on Windows?
Windows error 10104 is Winsock’s WSAEINVALIDPROCTABLE, meaning that a service provider supplied an invalid procedure-call table. Microsoft describes this as a provider-level fault, commonly involving a NULL function pointer. It is not, by definition, a generic internet outage.
Step 1: Confirm that the code is really 10104
Use the failing application’s diagnostic output, event log, or developer log rather than relying on a truncated pop-up. Windows applications generally call WSAGetLastError immediately after a failed Winsock operation to obtain the extended error code. If you are an end user, export or copy the application log so the vendor can see the operation that preceded 10104.

Step 5: Escalate with a complete diagnostic package
If the error remains, send the application owner the full message, Windows edition, application version, provider name, timestamp, and the relevant log excerpt. Akixi Web Services API documentation for versions 2.3 through 2.4.X defines 10104 as an inability to perform the requested operation because application database data is currently unavailable. Maintenance is the probable cause, but the documentation also allows for a more serious server-side problem.

Stop rapid repeat requests and wait a few minutes before sending the same operation again. If maintenance is in progress, the database may become available without any local change.
