wsreset.exe clears the Store cache without using the more disruptive app Reset command. It is useful after the Windows Update service is running or when Store appears stuck on stale cache data.
- Press Win + R.
- Type
wsreset.exeand select OK. - Wait for the blank Command Prompt window to open and close by itself. Microsoft says this normally takes about ten seconds.
- Allow Microsoft Store to open automatically after the window closes.
- Retry the original Store operation.
