For mobile games, check title availability, device and profile eligibility, account status, updates, and storage before clearing cache or reinstalling.
First, check whether it’s a mobile game or a TV game
Netflix mobile games are installed from the App Store or Google Play and played on a compatible mobile device. A game that appears on Netflix for a TV or computer may belong to the separate TV-and-computer beta, which has different device, browser, region, and controller conditions. The beta’s instructions won’t fix a mobile app-store download problem.

If you can’t find the game
Check whether the title is available to your device and profile
A game may not appear because it has not launched yet, the device does not meet that game’s requirements, or the selected Netflix profile’s maturity setting excludes it. Netflix advises checking the specific title and profile settings in its “Can’t find a Netflix game” guidance.
Check the profile and app
- Open Netflix and select the profile you intend to use.
- Review that profile’s maturity settings if the game is missing.
- Update the Netflix app from your device’s official app store, then look for the games row or shortcut again.
If a download won’t start or finish
Verify requirements and account access
Netflix says game requirements vary by title. It recommends Android 9, iOS 17, or iPadOS 17 for the best experience across games; these are recommendations, not a single guaranteed minimum for every game. Check the individual title’s requirements if the store says your device is incompatible. You also need internet access to install a game and an active Netflix membership; Netflix states, “To play Netflix games, you need an active Netflix membership.” See its mobile device requirements and mobile games overview.

Retry after updating
- Update the Netflix app and the game in the App Store or Google Play, if updates are available.
- Check for an available operating-system update and install it if appropriate for your device.
- Close other open apps, restart the device, and try the download again.
Use the official app store for the game; Netflix’s Android performance guidance identifies Google Play as the official version. Its general mobile guidance does not specify a required download speed or a numeric free-storage threshold.
Make room if storage is low
Check the device’s storage settings and free space if the download fails or the game behaves erratically. Netflix notes that insufficient storage can contribute to crashes, slowness, connectivity problems, and other unexpected app behavior. The amount of space needed can vary by game, so use the app store’s listing and your device’s available storage rather than assuming a universal threshold.

If the game is installed but won’t launch
Try the general fixes first
- Install any available update for the game, Netflix app, or device operating system.
- Close background apps and restart the device.
- Check available storage and free space if needed.
Netflix’s performance guidance recommends these checks for games that crash, freeze, run slowly, or stop responding.

Use your device’s Settings to open the game’s app information, then clear its cache. The exact menu labels vary by Android version and manufacturer. Reopen the game to see whether it loads.

Reinstall only if simpler steps fail
If the game still won’t open, delete it and reinstall it from Google Play or the App Store. Save behavior differs by title; do not assume that progress is backed up or will return after reinstalling. For example, Netflix’s Heads Up! support page says that game does not support cloud saves. On iPhone and iPad, Netflix’s general performance advice emphasizes updates, storage, closing background apps, and restarting; consult the individual game’s support page for further iOS-specific steps.
If Netflix shows an account or profile message
Confirm the membership and selected profile
Make sure the Netflix membership is active and that you are signed in to the intended account and profile. If a game is hidden, check the profile’s maturity settings; if the Netflix app’s games row is missing, update the app and try again.

Resolve the device-limit message
If the game says, “Please log out of at least one device to log into this one,” Netflix says too many devices are being used to play games. Sign out of Netflix games or the Netflix app on a device you are not using, then retry. See Netflix’s device sign-out guidance.

If the game still will not download or launch after these checks, open the support page for that exact title or contact Netflix/Player Support. Include the game’s name, device model and operating-system version, and the exact error message or code. Netflix’s common-issues guide can also help identify the next step; the fix may depend on the specific game and error.
