- Record the complete message. Copy the wording, including whether it says
postproc.dll,postproc-58.dll, “not found,” “entry point not found,” or “not designed to run on Windows.” Take a screenshot if the dialog disappears. - Note what you launched. An installer that cannot write its complete FFmpeg package may leave a partial installation. Make sure the system drive has room, close the affected program, and run the vendor installer with an account permitted to modify the application directory. - Back up user projects and settings. Export presets or copy project files according to the application’s own documentation. Do not delete project folders as part of troubleshooting.

Can I install a newer FFmpeg release to fix an older program?
