Did Roblox ban your account, or did one experience kick you? Roblox defines Error Code 267 as a ban imposed by that experience’s creator—not a Roblox-wide ban. You can generally still use other experiences and Roblox features. The route Roblox recommends is to contact the creator; Roblox Support says it cannot remove a creator-issued ban or contact the creator for you. Roblox Support: Error Code 267
What Roblox Error Code 267 means
According to Roblox Support, Error Code 267 indicates that an experience creator banned your account for violating Roblox Community Standards within that experience. The decision applies to that creator’s experience; it is not, by itself, evidence that Roblox has banned your account from the entire platform. Roblox says players may still access other experiences and platform features. Roblox Support: Error Code 267
The complete on-screen message matters. It may state a reason, duration, or appeal instructions set by the experience. A displayed 267 is not necessarily a universal appeal code: individual creators can use their own moderation systems and terminology.
What to do if the message says you were banned
- Record the details. Note the experience name, your Roblox username, the full error text, any stated reason or duration, and when it appeared. Keep any appeal instructions shown in the message.
- Contact the experience creator. Roblox suggests using available Roblox messaging or chat, the experience’s community wall, or social-media links shown on the creator’s profile, community, or experience page. Roblox Support: Error Code 267
- Ask for a review clearly and politely. Include the exact message and approximate time, explain why you believe the ban may be mistaken, and ask whether it can be reviewed. These details are practical suggestions, not a Roblox-required appeal form.
- Follow the creator’s appeal instructions. The creator controls whether to review or lift a ban in their experience. Roblox Support says it cannot reverse creator-issued bans or contact creators on a player’s behalf. Roblox Support: Error Code 267
For example, Uplift Games’ support page, created July 21, 2025, says its own popup explains whether a player was kicked or banned and why, and distinguishes Error 267 from its designated ban appeal code. That guidance applies to Uplift Games’ context, not necessarily to every Roblox experience. Uplift Games: What is Error 267?

Check whether it is a ban or a technical problem
Consider the scope and the exact message before trying connection fixes. Being unable to enter just one experience, with a message describing a ban, fits Roblox’s documented meaning of 267. If the same problem happens across multiple experiences, or the message describes a connection or client error instead, check the code actually shown and use Roblox’s guidance for that code. Roblox Support: Roblox Error Codes
| What you observe | What it may indicate | Who handles the next step |
|---|---|---|
| One experience displays a ban reason or appeal instructions with Error 267 | An experience-specific creator ban | Contact the experience creator; Roblox Support says it cannot reverse the ban |
| A different code or connection/client message appears, especially across experiences | A separate technical issue may be involved | Check the matching code in Roblox’s error-code guidance |
Roblox lists other codes for distinct issues: 266 for a connection timeout, 268 for unexpected client behavior, 277 for a lost game-server connection, 279/ID 17 for a failed game connection, and 280 for an out-of-date client. Those meanings should not be attributed to 267. Roblox Support: Roblox Error Codes

Why common “Error 267 fixes” may not work
Restarting a router, reinstalling Roblox, disabling a VPN, waiting, or changing account details does not change a creator’s moderation decision. Popular third-party troubleshooting guides mention such steps, but Roblox Support does not identify them as ways to remove a creator-issued Error 267 ban. Try technical troubleshooting only when the actual message and symptoms point to a connection or client issue—not as a substitute for contacting the creator. Avoid services claiming they can remove the ban, cheats, or attempts to evade enforcement by switching accounts. Do not share your password or pay someone promising to appeal on your behalf. Roblox’s stated route is to contact the experience creator through the available channels.
