It does not automatically mean your home internet is down, and Ubisoft has not publicly documented one universal cause for the code. Work through the checks below in order: first rule out an outage, then refresh your Ubisoft session, test another network, and only afterward troubleshoot NAT, DNS, firewall, files, or platform settings.

A browser, video-streaming app, or another online game working normally does not prove that Motorfest’s required connections are working. Conversely, the code alone does not prove that Ubisoft’s servers are down. 1. Check for an outage before changing anything
Look for an official Ubisoft service alert, maintenance notice, or current announcement. Also check the relevant PlayStation Network or Xbox service page. Ubisoft’s Motorfest news page confirms that the game is actively updated, but a news page is not a live server-status guarantee.
Use these comparisons:
- If players across multiple platforms report the same failure at the same time, local fixes are unlikely to help.
- If friends can play but you cannot, continue with account and network checks.
- If browser login to Ubisoft also fails, suspect authentication or a Ubisoft-side problem.
- If the game works on another network, focus on your router, ISP, DNS, NAT, or filtering.
2. Perform a clean restart
PC
- Exit Motorfest.
- Exit Ubisoft Connect from its system-tray icon.
- Open Task Manager and end remaining Ubisoft Connect or Motorfest processes only if they are stuck.
- Restart Windows.
- Open Ubisoft Connect manually and confirm that the correct account is signed in.
- Launch Motorfest.
PlayStation and Xbox
- Close Motorfest completely instead of leaving it suspended or in Quick Resume.
- Shut down the console fully.
- Unplug it for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect it, start the console, and launch Motorfest again.
This is a safe first step, not a guaranteed cure. A restart can refresh an expired session or temporary network state, but it cannot repair an outage or an account restriction.
3. Refresh Ubisoft account authentication
- Sign out of Ubisoft Connect.
- Close and reopen the launcher.
- Sign in with the Ubisoft account that owns or has access to Motorfest.
- On PC, let Ubisoft Connect finish signing in before launching through Steam or Epic.
- Try signing in to your Ubisoft account in a browser.
If browser login fails too, investigate Ubisoft authentication, account security, or a service incident. If browser login works but the game does not, the local Ubisoft Connect session, platform linking, firewall, or game connection is more likely.

Do not routinely unlink Steam, Epic, PlayStation, or Xbox accounts. Relinking can create ownership and progression complications. Change account details or unlink a platform only when Ubisoft Support specifically directs you.
4. Test a different network
Temporarily connect the PC or console to a phone hotspot and try Motorfest.
- It works on the hotspot: the home router, NAT, ISP route, DNS, firewall, parental controls, or network filtering is the likely cause.
- It fails on both networks: prioritize Ubisoft Connect, account linking, platform services, game updates, or a Ubisoft-side problem.
For diagnosis, use wired Ethernet if possible. A hotspot is a test, not necessarily a practical permanent connection.

5. Check the router and NAT
- Turn off the PC or console.
- Unplug the modem and router for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the modem and wait until it is fully online.
- Reconnect or power on the router.
- Restart the gaming device and test Motorfest.
On a console, check whether NAT is Strict or unavailable. If supported by your router, enable UPnP and avoid putting multiple routers in series unless the network is configured correctly. School, workplace, apartment-managed, and some cellular networks may restrict gaming traffic.

Do not use a random port-forwarding list copied from another Ubisoft game. A current Motorfest-specific port prescription was not verified here.
6. Repair PC network connectivity
Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run:
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock resetRestart Windows afterward. These commands refresh local DNS and Winsock state; they cannot fix a Ubisoft outage or an account problem.

ipconfig
nslookup account.ubisoft.com
ping account.ubisoft.comA failed ping is not conclusive because many services block ICMP even when the service itself is working.
7. Check VPN, proxy, firewall, and security filtering
- Disable a VPN or proxy temporarily.
- Temporarily bypass custom DNS filtering, ad-blocking DNS, parental controls, or network-wide security filtering.
- Allow Ubisoft Connect and Motorfest through the operating-system firewall and security software.
- Restore normal protection after testing.
Do not disable your firewall or antivirus permanently. A VPN is not a default fix: it can increase latency, produce stricter NAT, or trigger additional account-security checks. If it appears to help, that points to an ISP routing problem rather than proving the VPN is a solution.
8. Update and verify Motorfest and Ubisoft Connect
Motorfest continues to receive seasonal updates and patches, so allow pending game and system updates to finish. Historical patch notes show that Ubisoft has fixed account-related connection problems before, including an issue involving accounts with more than 10 linked accounts, but that does not establish the cause of every current 0_30 error. PC steps
- Update Ubisoft Connect and restart it.
- Confirm Motorfest appears in the Ubisoft Connect library.
- Launch Ubisoft Connect first, then start the game.
- Verify Motorfest’s files in Steam or Epic if that is where you installed it.
- Use Ubisoft Connect’s repair or verification option if it is offered.
- Restart the PC after verification.
Reinstalling the entire game is not a first-line solution. It cannot fix an outage, account authentication, NAT, or ISP routing problem. Reserve it for suspected corruption after launcher repair and file verification fail.
9. Console-specific checks
PlayStation
- Close Motorfest rather than resuming it from Rest Mode.
- Confirm PlayStation Network is signed in and online.
- Run the console’s internet connection test.
- Check NAT type.
- Install pending system and game updates.
- Restore licenses only if other purchased games also show ownership or entitlement errors; it is not a primary 0_30 fix.
Xbox
- Quit Motorfest from the dashboard.
- Remove it from Quick Resume.
- Restart the console.
- Confirm Xbox network services and multiplayer connectivity are working.
- Check NAT type and install pending updates.
Console menu labels can vary by system software version and region, so avoid treating one cache-clearing procedure as universally required.
10. When to contact Ubisoft Support
Contact Ubisoft Support when 0_30 persists after a second-network test, browser and launcher refresh, and the relevant platform checks. Contact them sooner if other Ubisoft games also fail, the problem began after an account or password change, or only one account is affected while others on the same network can play.
Include:
- Exact code:
0_30and any accompanying text - Platform and model
- Steam, Epic, or Ubisoft PC distribution, if applicable
- Country or region
- Approximate failure times and dates
- NAT type and wired/Wi-Fi status
- Whether a phone hotspot worked
- Ubisoft account details requested through the official support form
- Screenshots or video
- Every troubleshooting step already attempted

Some community reports mention FALSE_START_30 alongside connection or login failures. Treat it as a related report, not a confirmed synonym for 0_30.
- “0_30 always means Ubisoft is down” is unsupported.
- Reinstalling cannot solve most server, account, or routing failures.

- Random port forwarding is risky without a verified current port list.
