Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteIf an Epic Games Launcher title is marked “unavailable,” sign out and back in first; if a title or the whole Library is missing, check your account, Library filters, and hidden-library setting before reinstalling anything. For error LS-0016, Epic associates the message with maintenance: wait 10–15 minutes, then restart the Launcher.
First, identify what is wrong
Epic treats a visible game marked “unavailable” differently from games missing from the Library. The first problem points you toward refreshing the Launcher session and its display; the second can be caused by a hidden or filtered Library, the wrong account or platform, or an entitlement issue. An LS-0016 error has a separate maintenance-related remedy.

- The entire Library is absent: check whether the Library is hidden in settings.
- One or more games are missing: check the account, platform, filters, and entitlement.
- A visible game says “unavailable”: refresh the session, then try the Launcher-specific fixes below.
- You see LS-0016: wait for maintenance to finish and restart the Launcher.
Epic’s support pages cover these symptoms separately: a game appearing as unavailable and games missing from the Library.
If the Library or a game is missing
Make sure the Library is visible and unfiltered
- Open Launcher settings and turn off Hide Game Library, if enabled. Restart the Launcher if the Library remains hidden.
- Open Library and reset its filters. Check that the Installed filter is not limiting the list to games already installed, then refresh the Library view.
Epic says the Library is available in the Launcher on PC and Mac. Its instructions for a missing Library or game include checking filters and refreshing the view.

- Redeemable on accounts in the United States and in U.S. Dollars.
- Gift card must be redeemed at EpicGames.com/redeem. This gift card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly on a console device (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, etc.)
- If you play Fortnite experiences on a console device, you need to link your Epic Games account to your console account(s) so items purchased at Fortnite.com/item-shop appear across all of your linked accounts
- Requires internet connection, valid Epic account and prior acceptance of the terms

Confirm the account and platform
Sign in to the Epic account used to buy or claim the game. If you originally signed in through an external service such as Google or Facebook, try that sign-in method again; a different login can lead to a different Epic account. Also confirm that the purchase or redemption was for the platform whose Library you are checking.
Check whether access ended or the purchase went elsewhere
A game may be absent because it was refunded, purchased as a gift for someone else, or provided as a beta or press build whose access has expired. Epic also says a retail code reported as fraudulent may be revoked; for a revoked retail code, contact the retailer. These are entitlement or availability issues, so clearing cache or reinstalling the Launcher will not restore access.

Epic’s Store EULA says that in rare cases software may be removed from the Store and become unavailable for further download or access. Troubleshooting cannot restore an entitlement that has ended or a title that is no longer available.
If a game is marked “unavailable”

- Sign out of the Epic Games Launcher, then sign back in.
- If Unreal Engine is installed, switch between the Unreal Engine tab and the Library tab.
- Run the Launcher as administrator.
- Change the Launcher language in its settings, then check the game again.
- Clear the Launcher cache using the operating-system steps below.
- Reinstall the Launcher only after the simpler checks fail. Epic lists this as an option, not a guaranteed fix.
These steps are listed by Epic Games Store Support for the unavailable status. If the game is missing entirely rather than labeled unavailable, start with the account, Library, and entitlement checks instead.
Clear the Epic Games Launcher cache
Exit the Launcher completely before deleting cache data. Epic’s cache instructions identify webcache folders in the Launcher’s Saved directory on Windows and the Launcher cache directory on Mac:

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.

- Windows: Open
%localappdata%, then go toEpicGamesLauncherSaved. Delete the folders namedwebcache(and any similarly named webcache folders, such as those with a number suffix). - Mac: In Finder, use Go > Go to Folder and enter
~/Library/Caches/com.epicgames.EpicGamesLauncher. Remove the cache contents.
Restart the Launcher after clearing cache. This can correct a display or cached-data problem; it does not reverse a refund, restore expired access, or reinstate a revoked code. See Epic’s Launcher cache instructions for the current steps.
If the error is LS-0016
Epic associates LS-0016 with server or backend maintenance. Wait 10–15 minutes, then restart the Launcher so it can refresh the session and any required game update. If the game becomes available but still will not launch correctly, verify its files. Epic’s LS-0016 guidance recommends waiting for updates to finish and restarting.

When to contact Epic or the retailer
If the correct account and platform are confirmed, Library visibility and filters are correct, and the Launcher has been refreshed, the remaining question is whether the account still has access. Check the transaction or claim history and any notice about a refund, gift, expired build, or revoked code. Contact Epic Games Support about an Epic account or entitlement issue; contact the retailer if Epic says a retail code was revoked. For maintenance-related LS-0016, wait and restart before escalating.
