Flight depends on the experience: its developer must provide an ability, vehicle, item, or other supported mechanic. Check that game’s Help menu, tutorial, description, or ability instructions for the current controls.
First, identify what you mean by “fly”
In Roblox, “flying” can refer to different things. You might pilot an aircraft provided by an experience, activate an avatar flight ability built into that experience, or move the camera independently of your character. Those are separate features; camera movement does not make your avatar fly.
How to find and use flight in an experience
- Open the experience’s Help or settings menu. Roblox’s in-experience help guidance explains that this menu may show action instructions, keyboard shortcuts, mouse controls, and mobile gestures.
- Check the tutorial and experience description. Look for a documented flight ability, aircraft or other vehicle, item, or developer-defined unlock. If a gamepass or other requirement is mentioned, follow that experience’s instructions; there is no universal Roblox flight unlock.
- Use the controls shown for your device. On a phone or tablet, follow the experience’s on-screen buttons or touch guidance. On a computer or controller, use its stated bindings. Roblox supports multiple input types, but developers decide how actions are mapped in their experiences; see the Roblox Creator Hub input documentation.
- If no flight mechanic is documented, ask the developer or choose another experience. A platform-wide shortcut cannot add flight to an experience that does not provide it.
Why aircraft controls don’t work everywhere
Controls are set by each experience, so a key used to operate one plane is not a general Roblox flight command. These listings illustrate the differences; check their current in-game instructions because experiences can change.

Free camera is not avatar flight
Roblox Creator Hub documents free camera mode for experience owners or editors and Studio playtesting. It detaches the camera from the character; it is not an ordinary player ability that lets your avatar fly in other people’s experiences.

Avoid executors, scripts, and modified clients
Do not download an executor, modified app, or script that promises flight in every experience. Roblox says exploiting or cheating violates its Terms of Use and may result in account deletion. It also warns that exploit downloads can be scams that install malware, including keyloggers, or phishing programs. Roblox’s guidance is direct: “Don’t exploit; it’s not worth it.” See Roblox Support’s cheating and exploiting guidance.
Roblox also says modified app versions or software that changes how Roblox operates violate its rules. Its anti-cheat guidance says enforcement can include a temporary suspension, with permanent bans possible for repeated use. Use the official, unmodified app.
