To complete the Crawbug Clearing Hunt Wish, collect 25 Ragpelts from Craw enemies in Greymoor and bring them to Creige at Halfway Home. First defeat Widow, accept the Wish at Bellhart’s Wishwall, then speak to Creige to start the collection request.
How to unlock Crawbug Clearing
- Defeat Widow and free Bellhart. Crawbug Clearing becomes available on the town’s Wishwall afterward.
- Accept Crawbug Clearing at Bellhart’s Wishwall.
- Travel to Halfway Home in Greymoor and speak with Creige behind the counter. Accepting the Wish at the wall alone may not start the collection step.
Creige’s request is to clear the Crawbugs fouling his roof. The Hollow Knight Wiki quotes him as saying: “Those blasted crawbugs are fouling up my roof! I’ve come up with a clever solution to keep them away, but I’ll need some help. Enquire at the Halfway Home if you’re fit for the task.” Hollow Knight Wiki

Where to farm Crawbug Ragpelts
Craw enemies in Greymoor drop Ragpelts. Small Craws drop one each; larger variants such as Tallcraws and Squatcraws drop multiple, but the reported amounts vary, so plan around the 25-pelt target rather than expecting a fixed total from each large enemy.
| Route | How to run it | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Halfway Home rooftop area | Clear the Craws near Halfway Home, rest at its bench to respawn them, and repeat. | A safer, convenient loop with little travel. | Small Craws yield one Ragpelt each, so this route is slower. |
| Farther east or Craw Lake | Hunt mature Craws near the water mound farther east, or in the Craw Lake area; reset at a nearby bench. | Faster progress by prioritizing larger Craws that drop multiple pelts. | Requires more travel and brings tougher enemies; exact large-Craw drop counts differ between references. |
The Silksong Wiki reports 3–4 Ragpelts from mature Craws, while the Hollow Knight Wiki gives a range of 2–5. Treat these as reported ranges, not guaranteed drops. Silksong Wiki Hollow Knight Wiki

Why Craws may not be dropping Ragpelts
- The Wish may not be active. Defeat Widow, accept Crawbug Clearing at Bellhart’s Wishwall, and speak to Creige at Halfway Home before farming.
- You may be expecting a guaranteed multi-pelt drop. Small Craws drop one; larger Craws can drop multiple, but their reported yields vary.
- You may need more kills. The objective is 25 Ragpelts, so continue clearing Craws and check your collected amount as you go.
Where to turn in the 25 Ragpelts
Return to Creige behind the counter at Halfway Home and hand over the 25 Ragpelts. He awards a Crafting Kit upgrade and installs a scarecraw that removes Craws from the immediate rooftop area. Nintendo Life
