First check which game you mean: DragonVale and Dragon Story each have a Viridian Dragon, but their acquisition methods differ. In DragonVale, community-wiki guidance says to breed a Dodo with the Fire trait and a Malachite with the Light trait in the Rift. In Dragon Story, the wiki lists a market purchase or breeding dragons that contribute Blue and Green.
Getting Viridian in DragonVale
The DragonVale Wiki lists Viridian as a Rift dragon that requires specific parents. Its breeding guidance is to use a Dodo with the Fire trait and a Malachite with the Light trait in the Rift. See the DragonVale Wiki’s Viridian Dragon entry for the combination and the DragonVale Wiki entry for its Rift classification.
This is community-wiki guidance, not confirmation from an official current game source; the available information does not establish whether the requirements have changed. The breeding combination does not guarantee Viridian on a particular attempt. No reliable odds or expected attempt count are established, so there is no supported estimate for how long it will take.
Getting Viridian in Dragon Story
Dragon Story has a separate Viridian Dragon. Its wiki lists two routes: buy the dragon in that game’s market, or breed parents that collectively contribute Blue and Green. Other offspring can result from breeding. See the Dragon Story Wiki’s Viridian Dragon entry.
