Get Dolls through Procurement, then strengthen them through levels, limit breaks, Neural Helix, and Fortification. Weapons and attachments provide additional combat upgrades. Banner rules, event availability, unlock levels, and costs can change, so use the live in-game screens for current details.
How to recruit Dolls
Procurement is the recruitment system. A beginner guide describes Standard Procurement as permanent and Limited Procurement as the route for new or returning Dolls. Limited Procurement can include separate Doll and weapon banners. Those labels and banner rules may vary with updates, so check the current banner screen before spending resources.
Official announcements use Targeted Procurement for featured Dolls and Military Upgrade for featured weapons. Reunion banners may also appear on an event schedule. An announcement confirms that a banner was offered at that time; it does not establish which banner is live now. Check the in-game Details panel for the current region and event to see the featured target, rates, and guarantee rules.
Standard Procurement details can also change by version. A secondary beginner guide lists six base SSR Dolls and specific rates and guarantees, but those figures should not be treated as universal current rules.
How to upgrade a Doll
Raise the Doll’s level
Use Combat Reports to gain levels. The level cap is tied to Commander Level, so raising a Doll’s level alone will not remove a Commander-level cap. Check the Doll’s progression screen for the current cap and available materials.

Complete limit breaks
Limit breaks raise the level ceiling as a Doll reaches progression gates. A character guide describes breaks at ten-level intervals beginning at level 20; treat that as version-specific guidance and follow the requirements shown on the Doll’s current limit-break screen.
Develop Neural Helix
Neural Helix is a skill-tree-like progression system that unlocks stats and Keys, which can alter a Doll’s role or kit. Neural Survey is described as a source of Helix materials and as unlocking at Commander Level 15. Confirm its availability and requirements in your current mode screen.

Use Fortification for duplicate Dolls
Fortification uses duplicate Dolls to improve skills. It is separate from Neural Helix: Helix develops stats and Keys, while Fortification enhances skills through duplicates. The guide describes skills as available at base level, so duplicates are not required to unlock every skill.
Improve weapons and attachments
Weapons and attachments are additional progression paths rather than substitutes for developing the Doll. Level weapons to improve combat performance. Attachments add stats and set effects; a beginner guide lists Personal Study as an attachment source and says it unlocks at Commander Level 23. Check the mode screen for current access requirements and rewards.

Where to spend progression resources
Sardis Gold is used to upgrade Dolls and weapons. Early progression guidance recommends prioritizing character and weapon experience and limit-break materials, then farming attachments later. Treat that order as flexible: the best use of materials depends on your roster, current bottleneck, and the rewards available in the current version.
