To get the Afterglow Pendant in Where Winds Meet, complete the Afterglow Jianghu Legacy, reach Qinghe Exploration Level 4, claim its pendant reward, then finish the prompted interaction with the fisherman near Moonveil Mountain. Game8 reports that Level 4 requires 4,000 Qinghe Exploration Points. The pendant unlocks regional use of Lightness Skills; it does not teach one by itself.
What the Afterglow Pendant does
The Afterglow Pendant is Qinghe’s regional permission to use Lightness Skills. It is separate from learning a skill: the Afterglow Jianghu Legacy teaches Meteor Flight, while the pendant unlocks its use in Qinghe. You need both the learned skill and the regional permission.
A Qinghe pendant applies only in Qinghe. Other regions have their own pendants, so having this one does not grant permission to use Lightness Skills everywhere. Game8’s guide describes the pendant’s function and regional restriction.
How to get the Afterglow Pendant
- Track the Afterglow Jianghu Legacy. Find the fisherman near Moonveil Mountain. The October 1, 2026 Where Winds Meet Handbook guide identifies him as Master Qiu Yuehai and places the start by the lake in the Moonveil Mountain area.
- Complete the flight lesson and challenge. Follow the fisherman’s interactions and cross the floating wine jars to reach the boat. This quest sequence teaches Meteor Flight.
- Reach Qinghe Exploration Level 4. Game8’s guide, last updated November 16, 2025, reports that the tier requires 4,000 Qinghe Exploration Points.
- Claim the Level 4 pendant reward. Use Qinghe’s exploration progress screen to claim it; reaching the required progress alone may not finish this step.
- Return to the fisherman and complete the prompted interaction. Show the pendant as requested by the quest to finish the process and secure its regional use.
Why you might still be unable to fly
You have the pendant, but no Lightness Skill
The pendant does not teach a skill. Complete the Afterglow Jianghu Legacy and learn Meteor Flight, or learn another Lightness Skill, before trying to use it.

The quest’s flight demonstration is distinct from persistent regional permission. Claim the Qinghe Exploration Level 4 reward and finish the fisherman interaction.
You can fly in Qinghe, but not in another region
The Afterglow Pendant covers Qinghe only. Check the other region’s exploration rewards for its pendant.

You reached Level 4, but do not have the reward
Open Qinghe’s exploration progress and claim the pendant reward explicitly. The handbook notes that progress without claiming the reward can leave the requirement incomplete.

Game8 gives 4,000 Qinghe Exploration Points as the Level 4 threshold, but the sources do not establish a reliably fastest way to earn those points across current versions. Use the in-game exploration tracker rather than relying on an unverified farming route.
The handbook article is dated October 1, 2026, and says its balance version is unverified. The official Version 2.2 update overview is dated October 6, 2026, so mechanics or labels may change with updates. If a menu or quest step differs, follow the current in-game tracker and reward screen.
