To get Haste II, activate a beacon on a level-four pyramid, choose Haste as its primary power, and select the level-II secondary power. The beacon grants an area effect rather than giving you a potion to carry.
Why you can’t brew Haste II
Minecraft’s brewing system combines ingredients with a water bottle in a brewing stand, but it has no vanilla recipe for a Haste potion. Adding glowstone or another ingredient won’t turn a potion into Haste II. The official Minecraft potion overview explains brewing basics; the Haste reference identifies a beacon as the way to obtain Haste II.
How to get Haste II from a beacon
- Build a beacon pyramid with four levels and place the beacon on top. The pyramid can be made from iron, gold, emerald, or diamond blocks, according to Minecraft’s beacon overview.
- Activate the beacon by opening its interface and paying an ingot.
- Choose Haste as the primary power, then select the level-II secondary power option.
- Stay within the beacon’s effective area to receive its effect. It is a nearby-player buff, not an inventory item.
What if you’re playing with mods or commands?
Modpacks and servers can add custom potion recipes or ways to apply effects, so vanilla instructions may not apply. Check the documentation for the modpack or server you’re using; the sources cited here do not establish a mod-specific recipe. For a broader introduction to potion mechanics, Minecraft also has a splash-potion tutorial, but it does not provide a Haste II recipe.
