In the current version of WoW Classic Season of Discovery, Alliance Paladins get Horn of Lordaeron by completing the level 60 quest Plaguelands Rendezvous. The quest rewards the Testament of Horn of Lordaeron; use it from your inventory to learn the ability. Start the quest chain with Katherine the Pure in Stormwind. The old Libram-based rune method no longer teaches Horn of Lordaeron.
Current Horn of Lordaeron quest route
The quest database lists a five-part chain for level 60 Alliance Paladins, beginning with Our Wayward Friend and ending with Plaguelands Rendezvous. Follow these steps:
- Pick up Our Wayward Friend from Katherine the Pure. Find her in the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind City, around 37.8, 31.6. Eligibility may depend on earlier Paladin rune or quest progression, but the exact prerequisites are not established in the available quest listings.
- Find Aeonas near Uther’s Tomb. Travel to Western Plaguelands near Chillwind Camp, around 52.0, 83.4. Complete the first objective for Our Wayward Friend, then speak with Aeonas again to continue the chain toward Stormwind.
- Return to Katherine for Grand Theft Echoing Orb. Speak with Julien Faranister in Stormwind, around 67.0, 58.4, then return to Katherine and take A Solid Lead.
- Visit Ada Darkhardt. Find her at The Slaughtered Lamb in Stormwind’s Mage Quarter, around 28.2, 75.4. Turn in A Solid Lead and accept Plaguelands Rendezvous.
- Finish Plaguelands Rendezvous at Caer Darrow. The guide places Ada and Gregory around 69.4, 79.6 in Western Plaguelands. Complete the dialogue and turn-in with Gregory to receive the Testament.
- Use the Testament. Use the item from your inventory to learn Horn of Lordaeron. The item can be used by Paladins at level 25, though the quest chain itself is listed at level 60.
The coordinates are guide/map coordinates and may be rounded. The quest chain and Testament reward are supported by the quest and item records; the detailed intermediate routing is documented in a Warcraft Tavern guide. The chain’s start and level/class listing can also be checked on Wowhead.
Why the old Libram rune instructions do not work
Older guides may tell you to find a Libram of Blessings in Loch Modan or from undead in Westfall and bless five players. That is the former rune-era route, not the current way to learn Horn of Lordaeron. Patch history records that Horn of Lordaeron was removed in patch 1.15.3 and returned in patch 1.15.4 as a normal ability learned from the Testament. The Libram now teaches Hallowed Ground, not Horn of Lordaeron. See the ability’s patch history for the change.

What Horn of Lordaeron does
Horn of Lordaeron is a Paladin party buff that increases Strength and Agility for party members. It lasts 2 minutes, has a 20-second cooldown, and cannot be active alongside Blessing of Might. The reference does not give a fixed stat increase, so no numeric amount is listed here. Details are in the Horn of Lordaeron ability entry.
