Where is Blacklime Bunker?
Blacklime Bunker is an Order Bunker in The Howl, an area of The Fadefields. Its entrance is set into a cliff, so the map marker gets you near the bunker but does not point directly to the door. The walkthrough at Gamer Guides recommends approaching from Shut-Eye Keep Safehouse, northeast of the entrance.

Unlock the bunker and open its door
Complete One Fell Swoop
Finish the main mission One Fell Swoop before attempting to enter. This unlocks Order Bunkers and the Locust-container mechanic used to open the entrance. If the door remains sealed or you cannot interact with a container, check your campaign progress before looking for another way in. The prerequisite is also noted in the TheGamer walkthrough.

- Travel to Shut-Eye Keep Safehouse and head toward the bunker marker.
- When you can see the door embedded in the cliff, follow the cliff southwest until you find a grapple point.
- Grapple up, then glide around the corner to the small cliff and continue to the plateau directly in front of the door.
- Pick up the Locust container on the plateau. Quickly glide to the entrance and throw the container at the sealed door to open it.
Navigate the bunker to the final section
Once inside, crouch or slide beneath the low pipe to reach the next room. In the flooded room, jump and glide from the entrance to the central platform, then repeat the jump and glide to reach the platform with the console. Activate the console to open the way forward; vending machines are just before the drop into the boss room. An IGN walkthrough also describes reaching the central platform and using the console to open the west door.

Optional: prepare for the Core Observer
The bunker’s final encounter is against the Core Observer. The Gamer Guides walkthrough recommends moving laterally or using arena cover to avoid its projectile patterns, and taking cover during its beam attack. It also recommends Shock damage: the boss has two blue health bars and one green health bar. You can skip this advice if you only need to open the entrance.
Known loot issue and patch status
In a support report dated September 30, 2025, Borderlands Support said that a small section of Blacklime Bunker floor lacked collision, which could let dropped loot fall below the floor and become unpickable. The report listed no workaround; see the official support issue.

Version 1.6 notes dated April 30, 2026 mention general exploration collision and invisible-wall fixes, as well as improvements to multiple grapple points. They do not specifically confirm whether the Blacklime Bunker loot issue was fixed. The notes therefore do not establish whether that particular issue is resolved; see the Version 1.6 update notes.
